“Great holiday”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

We went here on 5th aug 2013 and were not disappointed we had been before in2010 and superb is not enough we were made so welcome by Ahmet even though it was 2am and he remembered us straight away we know him as mr grumpy which is far from the truth he had us laughing from there onwards.the hotel is clean and rooms spacious although if you book ask for pool view as lower rooms not as good.most guests were Scandinavian but this added to the holidays fun.the hotel is about 5 min walk from bar street so is very quite for sleeping.rooms cleaned daily and sheets and linen every other day.there is air con but we choose not to have so room was hot on a night.swimming pool cleaned daily although some repairs needed to edge as there was a few sharp edges to the side but anything that worried us..the hotel on the whole except value and food cheap.it is cheaper to drink away from hotel as a beer was 9lira about £3.50 and only 4lira in town.we would go again and our 18year old daughter loved it.will go again. As soon as saved up perfect

Room Tip: Pool view is best

Just came back from the Club Bozok, this was our 2nd time after staying in 2009. Still a great place to stay for a nice relaxing holiday. Ahmet and his team are what makes this place so good and they are all genuinely friendly staff. It does seem a bit different to when we last visited as we were the only English family there over the 2 weeks, where as last time everyone there was British/English although we did find it much quieter which we preferred anyway. There seems to be a lot more Scandinavian families that visit here now who seem pleasant enough. In all we had another lovely holiday here and will definitely be coming back next year with our friends hopefully. Gumbet is very lively and busy in the evenings and this hotel is just set back from all of the noisy nightlife which is good and we visited the Family Door restaurant most nights although this has now moved to a new larger premises, but it probably still serves the best food in Gumbet (special mention to Velli) who looked after us so well !

club bozok has changed considerably over the last two years. we went on 20th july 2012 for 11 nights through cosmos. we were the only british there as most families are scandinavian. this is a big bonus as there was no rowdiness as before. we have visited this hotel 10 times now. staff are superb, rooms basic but very clean. food in the complex is of high standard and good prices. one big tip. bring your own toilet roll as they dont supply them. cooker, toaster and fridge is supplied. the pool is ali one depth, about 5' 10 deep. beer is 7 lira at bozok, thats about £2.50, coke is about £1.20. a plate of cheesy chips is about £2.30 and quite filling. t-bone steak about £10 pound. you can buy water, coke bread etc from the on site shop. this is a little dearer than other shops but we're talking pence. if you want to lug all this from town to save 50p then feel free. there is a hypermarked about a 15 minute walk away which sells a more variety of food. we found the scandinavians very quiet and private people, they all speak good english and some like to practice their english on you. air con costs £5 a night. £20 deposit which you get back. £10 each at airport for your visa.
when you first arrive you think you have been put in the middle of nowhere. dont dispair as all the bars and restaurants are a five minute walk away. the food is superb, fake tshirts are good quality from the shops, i still wear some of mine after five years. i dont trust the markets and certainly dont buy cigarettes and tobacco from shops and markets as the quality is questionable. bodrum airport duty free is about £4.50 a packet of backy and 200 lambert and butler were £21.00, on the plain they wanted £32.00. alcohol is cheaper in bodrum airport than the plane. as a guide you should barter 4 t-shirts for 10 pounds, they all take english money. we found that changing money in turkey was better than getting it in britain. plenty of cash machines which are easy to use. the only problem i found was you cant get your bank balance up. money can be exchanged in most bars.
beach is a ten minute walk away. beach is probably just ok. many restaurants on beach front. best restaurants were our house at the top of bar street. family door and jacks place, both a five minute walk from the bozok. you do get a bit of hassle but if your good natured, polite and speak whilst walking past they are ok. dont ignore them as a smile and no thanks costs nothing. some are even quite witty, saying things like cheaper than shop lifting are quite amusing. we have been in may, july, august, september and october and have never had bad weather. july this year was too hot. for 2 days we had 48 degrees. may and september are our preferred months. gumbet has something for everyone. if you want loud music or quiet bars you can find them. bodrum is a 20minute walk from bozok if you go left out of the hotel head towards the beach. you will see some windmills on a hill. go up there and the view is fantastic. a boat trip is a must, go into town and youll find it cheaper than your tour company who wil rip you off and say your not insured, that rubbish as your own insurance will cover you. i have never had a bad meal in turkey, or stomach trouble. most restaurants are open plan and you can see the food being cooked. travel around gumbet and surrounding areas is dirt cheap on a dolmus. just jump on , give him your fare and off you go. costs about £2-3 pound each depending on where your going. thats about it. turkey is cheaper than any of the euro countries, the climate is better, sunnier than the canaries and warmer. people are nice, food good and cheap fakes.
bozok is 3 star, its basic, clean and you get what you pay for. love it. hope this has covered most peoples questions.

Room Tip: balconies are small. nice view of old gumbet

My family and i stayed here for 2 weeks from June 6th 2011, and we enjoyed every minute.
The staff, as in most of Turkey were lovely, and friendly. Swimming pool was amazing and the weather was blue sky's and hot hot hot for the entire 2 weeks.
Ahmet is an incredibly genuine and friendly person. He made it special and the kids loved him.
Would definitely go back again.
Go see the guys at the Family House as well which is just down the road. Awesome people, and delicious food.
Only one fault was there was no entertainment, but thats no biggy to me.

We stayed at club bozok in sep 2011. It was a lovely hotel nice and clean staff very friendly. Within walking distance of the bars & restaurants. We found a fantastic restaurant called jacks place the food was excellent & waiters very friendly we loved it that much we ate there at least 3 times. Nightlife was great. Hotel was nice & quiet in the day to relax. Food was ok but nothing special so would definately suggest eating out. Enjoyed our stay and would definately return to turkey.
