Absolutely love this resort! It really is perfect!
Check in was super quick, and luggage was taken to your room. Everyone on reception was really friendly and welcoming.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. Ok, they are a little outdated, but who cares what colour the curtains are?! Because we didn't!!
The restaurants were fab! The Italian was our favourite and we made sure we went there twice. (Its one visit per week) The Turkish was ok, a little too spicy for my liking but was still nice. I can't comment on the mediterranean as we didn't try. Service was superb, and was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the main restaurant. Italian is also open during the day time, which is great! Serves fresh to order pizza, pasta etc.
The main restaurant had massive choice, and was all of excellent quality! There was different food every day, and then the usual salads, chips, pasta. At breakfast there is all the normal breakfast choices including bacon!! Omlettes & toasties made to order, and freshly squeezed orange juice.
Alcohol - all was nice and as expected. Beer was a little flat though. Bottled beer is available from the relax pool bar (we didn't know till the last day) The disco served shorts & beer. The shorts seemed to be overley strong!
All of the staff are a credit to this resort! Even the gardeners would stop what they were doing to say hello. I do however take my hat off to the Animation team! Superb! They work soooo hard, and for over 12 hours a day! They try to get you involved in the many games by the pool during the day. At night they are part of the entertainment shows too. On a Sunday it is 'quiet day' which was weird not having the animation team around, was almost too quiet! Our favourite was Mickey, who has actually only been there 4 days when we met him. Outstanding!
Other enertainment was also available at the Windmill bar which was mostly live bands, again great!
If you walk along the beach it is around a 20 min walk into Gumbet, prepared to get hassled. After a while we were used to it and knew the right things to say!
Taxi's and buses are available from literally outside the hotel.
Money wise- in the hotel & trips were priced up in Euros or English Pounds. We found this weird as we had purposley taken Turkish Lira! Even in the shops they much prefer Euro or Pound! You seem to get more for your money paying this way so please take note! Even in the airport it was Euro!
Kos - booked with Thomas Cook. On a Katamaran go to Kos for the day. Was worth every penny of the £20 it cost us!
Market - booked with Thomas Cook - great for clothes shopping mainly. But be aware there are 4 stops before you actually get to the market!
Last Day Cruise - booked with TC - was checked into a 3 star hotel and taken out on a boat all day due to having an early morning flight we were unable to keep our room on. Would recommend! Subathing on top deck :)
Would recommend this hotel to familys, couples (young & old), and even small groups of same gender. There really is something to suit everyone!
