Myself and my partners family got back from Turkey yesterday, we stayed at palm gardens and overall it was absolutely brilliant. I read the reviews before going on holiday there so I automatically thought it was not going to be great. We arrived on the 30th at around 10pm. We were greeted with flowers and sandwiches which were really good. We got shown to our rooms and we were pleasantly surprised they were spotlessly clean, and the beds were made up with towels shaped as swans etc. The first two days of food wasnt good, but we were the first guest and they didnt have a buffet but we weren't that fussed as there were loads of lovely restaurants just a stone throw away. The pool area was fabulous the first two days we had the pool all to ourselves. Really good for the kids as the pool is all one level. So no deep end. Once the buffet started it was good, chicken, salads, chips, puddings. There was a fair amount of choice. The bar staff at the top bar were so lovely they would do anything help and lovely with the kids. Overall all the staff are really friendly and helpful. Our cleaner was just brilliant we left her a tip, she always made our room absolutely sparkling. The pool area was great for the kids, they could get burger, toasties, chips, and fizzy drinks whenever they wanted and as much as they wantes. Denise the entertainment manager was really good fun, activities for adults and children. All of the entertainment team were great. We went to the bingo night was really cheesy and great! Karaoke was funny and cheesy all apart of the cheap holiday deal. We went to the big market which your rep will ask you if you want to go, what ever you do dont go on the transport they provide! The mini bus turned up there were not enough seata for everyone so my family had to get a little people carrier there. We drove round gumbet for 45minutes and got rather hot ans annoyed. There is a big hill by smiles café and our driver decided to go up it and as we went up 3 member of my family went flying back as the seat went broke they had their legs up in the air and were basically laid on thd floor. Was really funny but still... we were an hour and a half late for the market, so only left us 2 hours to shop before getting the coach back organised by the rep. Gumbet shops are cheaper than thr market. So I wouldn't waste your money going.
Smilies cafe is amazing great full English, and some freshly squeezed orange juice. We got to know thw other guests as well, they were all lovely. Overall our trip was really good, kids enjoyes it. I would definitely recommend anyone to go there, we were there for a week 30th-7th best time to go as it isn't busy in the hotel. Dont listen to the negative feedback people have been writing on here. We are thinking about going back next year for another family holiday. :)
