“Watch out for the tour rep he is a con man!!”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

We visited this hotel on 22/10/12, my partner booked the hotel whilst I was at work. When I found out about where we were going I really started to panic after read all the bad reviews. We arrived at 3 am at the hotel. When we checked in we were taken to our room, I did have a heavy bag but was not offered any help with it going down stairs outside in the dark. Our room overlooked the entertainment arena, it's was very basic, but fairly clean (floor had not been swept)

On the first morning in the restaurant we helped ourselves to breakfast, however when walking to a clean table I slipped in a huge puddle of water, I really was not expecting water in the middle of the restaurant. When I slipped over the plate I had smashed on my leg, cutting myself quite badly. A waiter came over but didn't help me up off the floor, he just started picking up the broken plate.

Later that day we were stopped by a man asking if we had arrived that day. After showing us his id and taking us to the bar he seemed genuine. (Our planned meeting with our rep was not for a few hours.) He got us drinks and the bar man knew him, so we relaxed. We agreed to book 2 trips handing over a total of 330 lira. We booked a trip across to kos and a boat trip. He also took my leaflets of excursions that were sticking out of my bag, this didn't seem strange, how wrong I was. We attended our trip to kos, which we paid 150 lira for 2, only to find out the cost is only 35 lira for two. Please watch out, I know he needs to make some commission, but he must have seen us coming.

The food overall was ok, there was a variety day to day. You just have to remember you an in a different country and with different cuisines.

Drinks I think were watered down, we ordered two cocktails that we paid for and two vodka and coke, the bar man made the vodkas first, but when the made the cocktails he opened up a new bottle of vodka, there was plenty in the one before.

On the forth day of our holiday our air con broke and we were moved rooms, out second room was on the same level as the restaurant and was a thousand times better.

Our towels were changed most days, however the cleaning of our room was not good, the only time we came back to a clean room was when we tipped housekeeping.

We did not experience any theft, but we did keep all our valuables locked in our suitcases.

It is a very large hotel, that could be fantastic, however lots of staff are lazy, meaning the place is not very clean. Pools were ok, and entertainment was satisfactory. All in all ok for value for money.

Where to start.
We arrived on the 18th October and was taken to our room immediately, the room was basic but a little damp on the bedroom and the bathroom walls (not enough to complain about). We had clean sheets, towels and cleaned nearly every day so really can't complain about that.
We was all inclusive the food was edible at the start of the fortnight but the same thing day after day is not what you pay for. The burger and chips that was available from the pool bar were dry but this was better than the food in the restaurant most days.
The pools where ok but very slippery and the remains of the day before where not always cleaned up. The music round the pool was very loud and contained extremely bad language which was not idle for the children.
As for the security of the room we had nothing go missing as we had taken the advise from other reports and taken out a security box in reception which we paid 103 lira not bad £37.00 for the two weeks SO WE THOUGHT. On our last morning we went to reception to check out of the room and empty the SECURITY box only to find we had had money stolen from the box. The reception staff did not speak very good English and the security manager was a total waste of time and was not interested at all. We was told was to wait for the police who would be five hours. They new this was impossible as we had a flight to catch back home. As all this was going on the coach for the airport arrived as we tried to leave to get on bored they locked us in the lobby and would not let us leave as we had not checked out and still had the keys. This was very frightening for our 6 year old daughter.
We have put this holiday down as a bad experience but please please do not go. We think we was rather lucky after reading the other reports.

Room Tip: Different hotel would be advisable.

Stayed here 7 - 14th October 2012. Food was disgusting most of the time-it wasn't that we are fussy but it was not kept warm, not properly cooked and very limited. We had chicken that was red raw in the middle and cold potato wedges covered in ketchup as a vegetale option!
The bar only served gin, vodka or beer in the all inclusive package which must have been watered down as you vould drink it all night long and never get tipsy.
The hotel itself was a nice place and in a good position. Not suitable for anyone with a mobility problem though as there were loads of steps from the road up to the hotel.
Pleanty of bars, restaurants and night life and a restaurant next door doing Full English breakfasts for £2 or an Irish breakfast for £2 and the only difference was the Irish one had chips with it. Bargain!
Weather was excellent and the 'silence' pool was great if you wanted to relax.

We won't be going back to this hotel. The staff are generally not very interested in the guests unless they are young females (most of the staff are young males!).

All in all not impressed with the place and would not go all inclusive if we ever return to Turkey unless it is at least 5 star...

We visited at the end of the season, so the hotel was closing down for the winter. The room we had was great, with a small balcony. Room was clean, sheets changed daily, and towels replaced. I found the food lovely, and was willing to try a selection of Turkish food (with the exception of heart, liver and veal!) But don't expect a large selection of English food. Burgers and chips were available throughout the day, along with soft drinks/locally produced drinks. The pools were great, with a family pool and awesome slide for the kids (which is turned on at certain times of the day), and then a quieter pool mainly for adults. The pool tables were shabby, but they had probably suffered abuse throughout the season. The staff were very friendly, and the 'animation' team provided entertainment in the form of pool games during the day, and various activities at night. Music was played during the day by the family pool, and some of the songs should have been censored as they were not suitable for children. The down side of evening entertainment was that it didn't start till 10pm. (This is probably because dinner is on until 9pm) The music was very loud, and if you had a young family trying to get to sleep, you may find this annoying, but it usually finished around 11pm. This hotel has a lot of steps and bearing in mind that 'health & safety' is not up to our standards (as you'll see loads of moped riders without helmets) there are a few trip hazards like uneven paving etc. The tennis courts were no more, even though it's advertised as having one! The beach is a few minutes downhill, and the sea was lovely and clear, though there was quite a bit of litter. Overall, the adults had a lovely relaxing time, and the kids wore themselves out in the pool/slide.

We stayed here 26th Oct to 2nd Nov 2012 and were put here as a replacement hotel (paid to stay at Medisun Hotel and were not notified of the change prior to departure - Medisun was shut - see review for details). Some reviews on here can be quite extensive so I'll keep this as short as possible but there were A LOT of issues.

Although we went late season, when you pay for an all inclusive you expect just that. The beer 'ran out' 2 days prior to departure so we were given cans. The vodka was watered down to the point were you can't taste the alcohol. My partner witnessed bar staff taking already opened bottles of vodka from the fridge so they had already been diluted. Red wine was also stored in a diet coke bottle in the fridge and tasted of metal so god knows what we drank.

The food was terrible. Luckily enough Turkey is still cheap enough to eat out - we did - a lot. Staff are considerably rude and were not bothered about our concerns during our stay. However, we were moved to another room after we pointed out the cockroaches on the bathroom floor and leaking air conditioning unit down the wall of our first room. Neither the first or second room had balcony chairs to go with the table so we couldn't sit outside.

Entertainment was poor and din't start till 10 (luckily we didn't have children with us). One activity consisted of diving for a spoon at the bottom of the pool. Exhilarating...Music around the pool was exceptionally loud and contained a lot of swearing, not suitable when children are present.

The hotel and its grounds are very dirty. Old glasses, used plates and bin bags were frequently seen by the pools, rooms and in the communal areas. On our second to last day, the strip down of the restaurant was already in full swing (shame they couldn't have employed such enthusiasm on other matters during our stay). I appreciate it was the closing of the season, but moving cabinets to brush up all the crap and utter filth underneath shouldn't be done while you still have guests. That in addition to the numerous cats wandering through the restaurant....Then there was the 'disinfection pool' to be used prior to entering the main pool. A swamp in the Everglades would of contained less moss, dirt and general green gunky stuff.

I understand that there was also a reported theft from a safety deposit box which was IN RECEPTION. A CCTV CD was placed into the lobby fountain by a member of reception staff, go figure what happened there.

There are NUMEROUS steps. How anyone with motibility issues could navigate their way around is beyond me.

I haven't downloaded my photos yet but should you wish to see them please contact me. I was more concerned about writing the review before anyone dares go!

I appreciate that these issues may have been compounded by the fact it was a replacement hotel and the fact we were left at the airport for 3 hours to try and sort it out (the transfer company a2b left us stranded at Bodrum airport) but this is a dirty hotel, were all inclusive is utter rubbish, and the staff don't give a rat's a**. Please don't waste your hard-earned cash!!!!

Stayed between 25th Oct and 1st Nov 2012.Upon arrival late at night it took some little time to allocate rooms to all present and person who guided us in little lighting to chalet didnt seem to know where he was going.
The family room was ok, basic 2 rooms - one or two mosquitos dried to the wall and alittle damp here and there.Having said this for money paid it was about what we expected and sheets etc were changed daily.
The 2 pools were good with slide being very much liked by children.By one pool activities such as darts and water polo took place organised by Denis the entertaiment guru. This was well organised generally and enjoyed by all that got involved 2/3 times daily.Music was played all day sometimes tto loudly and one or two rap songs with F.... in the lyrics which was not appropriate with young children about. The food and drinks bar were well used and appreciated.
The other pool was quieter with no onsite entertainment probviding an alternative.
Mealtimes were fine- reasonable choice albeit no free fresh orange juice or croissants which from my experience are usually available in all inclusive hotels. The wine ran out 2 days from end of stay and was not replaced which typified the end of season feel to the place.
Evening entertainment organised by Denis and colleagues was fun albeit didn't start until 10pm.
The hotel is a brisk 5 -6 minute walk downhill to the beach.
Overall, whilst it was far from spectatular for the money paid we had a really enjoyable holiday mainly based on site.

Room Tip: Understand that rooms allocated upon arrival not mater what your preference is !
