“Lovely Hotel, clean and friendly and close to beach”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2013

The Club Paloma Apartments is a really nice place to stay, with two pools, cheap hotel shop for self catering needs and 24hr bar it makes self catering easy. The apartments themselves are comfortable with modern bathrooms and each with its own outdoor space. I would say however you have to pay extra for air con but we found opening windows was fine even when it was boiling. The hotel also offers the option to eat in their restaurant but this was quite pricey. It was about a 3 min walk from bar street and the main shopping area of gumbet and 10-15 walk from the beach. Lovely hotel, really recommend!

stayed here in october 2012 as a family holiday (3 generations) had an 18 month old child so like the other review it is helpful having a room off ground floor for the railings on the balcony, the location was ideal bar street was 2 mins walk, the beach and alot of restuarants 5 mins walk, so nice to retreat back to relative peace and quiet, staff work relentlessly and were very friendly the whole complex is exceptionaly well cared for, the pool area and sunloungers were stripped down and cleaned once a week, cant really comment on hotel food as we ate out most of the time ( so cheap to do!) would highly reccomend as paloma would appeal across all ages, there are some bad places in the area (we saw a few!) paloma is definately not one of them. we look forward to coming here again.

We went to the Paloma for the first time in september 2012. myself, my grandparents (over 65) and a 18month old. We found the apartments lovely, friendly and very well cleaned. The food they sold there was basic but we ate out every night anyway. The pool area was clean, tidy and well maintained. The room, we requested one up stairs as the downstairs ones dont have railings to keep the little one in the balcony, was gorgeous, cleaned every day with fresh towells and linen plus they even asked if we wanted the little ones blankets washed with no extra charge, the bathroom was immaculate and if we had any problems (one day we ran out of toilet roll due to my son putting it in the toilet) it was sorted the minute you asked., our balcony was huge and in the sun just enough but with shade too. The staff were friendly and could not do enough to help. It is just a short walk down to the quiet restaurant area of gumbet which we loved, Jasmine garden restaurant is owned by family so we ate there and it was only a 2 minute walk. the whole experience was a quiet fun and clean holiday and we will be returning this year!

Room Tip: If you have kids and can manage, get an upstairs one as the balconys are railed in.

It was my first all girls holiday, we went half-board with the intention of being out most of the time. We spent all day by the pool or shopping and most nights on 'Bar Street' where the clubs and shops are open until early hours. The food wasn't great but it was good enough. We went end of June-early July. Our room was absolutely lovely and the sheets and towels were changed regularly. The bathroom was gorgeous too. It was one of the best weeks of my life! the staff were so nice and we even saw them in the town and got chatting as friends! Would recommend this to all types of travellers, but there is so much going on I wouldn't recommend going anything more than half-board! Absolutely fantastic.

ok so at first we all thought it was great room was cleaned every day fresh towls fresh bed sheets. untill we realised that the cleaners was stealing money from our bags and the manager refused to do anything about it. so we had to go to the police station still nothing was done due to lack of evidance. the food was horrid so we never ate there. the pool was ok but was bombarded with russians and germans which took up all of the sunbeds and would not remove there towls even when they wasnt using the sunbeds. there was lack of entertainment. on our last friday they held a turkish night at the hotel but we was asked to pay 40 lira each (so we didnt go). hated walking to the beach got harrased buy guys with rediculous fake names (a turk named Mario) they are all slimey and have no respect even if you are there with a partner. There breakfasts are horrid i litarally starved for a week there food is not up to standards they should just stick to kebabs!

Room Tip: peters place good seabass

we went 2 the club paloma apts on the 19th of aug till the 2nd of sept.first night we got there we were brought 2 a holding cell. our view was a wall. i was so upset so i went up 2 the reception and told them thats not what i asked for. the moved us the next day. have 2 say the apt was clean we had a bit of a view of the pool. the apts r in 2 parts. we were in the smaller complex. there r not many english r irish stayn at the apts. alot of germans, swedish, danish. the did seem 2 take over. gumbet were do i start a nightmare. never again will we go back. just 2 walk up the street u get hassle the whole time 2 go in the shops r restaurants u get fed up its very stressful u just have 2 say no the whole time. it just got 2 the point we did not want 2 leave the apts. we since found out its not allowed u can report them 2 the police and the can fine them and if the keep at it the can b closed. as far as i could see there is no law at all. am not writing this just 2 yap. this is how gumbet really is. any review i read before i went away never said any of this. the most not of left the apts at all because i never had that hassle in any hol i was on before. so if anyone who reads this review r thinking of stayn in gumbet only come if u enjoy that type of thing. am just telling it the way it was. maybe go 2 bodrum instead its not as bad. u get just abit of hassle along the sea front. the leave u alone round the shops.

We arrived in the early hours and were made very welcome, our bags were taken to our room for us to the smaller complex over a small lane.
Apartment was a good size, clean, shame the freezer box had defrosted, opened the fridge and water spilled out all over the floor, great,at 3 in the morning cleaning the floor!!!!
Next morning chance to have a proper look around, first impressions, not bad, main pool very big, plenty of sunbeds, staff up and about cleaning pool area etc.
Decided to lay on sunbeds around main pool,we soon realised we were one of a few English at the complex, mainly Swedish,Danish and of course Germans.
However where our apartment was it was mainly Brits around the smaller pool,we made this our base for sunbathing.
Gumbet very close, were recommended to try Uncle Festers, glad we did as food was really good, more than can be said for Paloma, had one meal there and thought it was disgusting,my youngest had uncooked chicken, chips were cold and not too sure what my wife got served, supposed to be chicken grill, came in a wrap with christ knows what covering it.
Beach was ok,bit stony but plenty of sunbeds available, got a bit fed up with getting pestered to "try our food" the best in Gumbet.
Can't fault cleaners and staff, they work from the early hours and seem to be still working at midnight, always very polite and always seem to be happy.
Fresh towels and room cleaned every day.
Lack of entertainment and food were the only let downs at Club Paloma,Gumbet itself was excellent, weather was soooo hot,3 days the mercury topped 46 degrees.
