“GREAT friendly, clean and central”
Reviewed August 9, 2012

Great hotel, very clean and staff were very helpful, friendly and work very hard. Rooms on top floor have been renovated we had 214, we did request top floor pool view and that’s exactly what we got! I would describe as small traditional friendly hotel; food was good we went BB as so cheap to eat out! Breakfast was basic continental but perfect for price. Not 5* so don’t expect it, great for 3*!! good showers always hot water, flat screen tv, only one negative is bar strip music is loud at night but stops at 3am im a light sleeper but this didnt effect my partner one bit as when doors windows closed u can barley hear it. AC is £35 for the week but needed in summer!
Gumbet is good for couples, (we are 25&33 year old couple) small groups (its not ibiza.malia etc) but good enough fun bar strip if you like that but quiet places too if you want a relaxing holiday. We mainly ate and drunk at smaller places restaurants on beach etc as didn’t want a lively holiday, really is best of both worlds, boat trips are v cheap £13 all day inc all inc food, drink and transfers. This hotel isn’t amazing for children hence only one child there when we went 27august which is school hols as not much for them to do. Were more couples, older family groups, and a couple of nice young groups but not the rowdy type.
Gumbet really is great sunbeds are free and you can eat on the beach every night in a different restaurant. Only £1 to get to Bodrum which is beautiful place little bit pricier but still cheap! Thank u to all the Serhan staff for a great week!!!

Room Tip: Top floor rooms have been newly renvoated but others still clean and modern.

just returned from a 1week trip to the serhan, what can i say .Its idealy located and my personal opinion about the place was excellent, the food, the staff were superb, the only 1down fall i had was the cleaners we were told by another couple of people about belongings going missin out the room so we were very warey and put do not disturb signs on the door and made sure nothing was left on display to take, nothing was missing from our selves.me and my wife went there with our 2 daughters and their boyfriends and they loved it up bar street which was only 5 mins walk.ebo and cem the 2 waiters there were top class ,so friendly and always smiling, would do anything for you.i would recomend this holiday deffo, when we ate out try the royale ,cheap as chips and superb food, the food in the serhan was also really good.go on book it.

this was our second visit to the serhan, when we arrived we were welcomed with open arms, we were shown to our rooms which were decorated with fresh cut flowers and swans made from the towels. there was lots of new staff this year but all very friendly and helpful and we had a laugh with all of them. the hotel is kept spotless and towels and bedding changed evey 3 days, the pool is small but also spotless the breakfast is same everyday but its good for continental you can pay and have a full cooked english if you wish. i see people eating this and it looked really good, the location of the hotel is perfect and in easy reach of everything,
thanks to all the staff and management for making our holiday so perfect,
see you in september

Just returned from this fab holiday!!l We stayed 1-8 July. Lovely small, friendly hotel in a PERFECT location. 2 mins stroll to the beach. (Walk out of the front of the hotel and take first right, down to the beach, nice little shops on your right) Its a 5 mins walk to bar street, but far enough away not to hear music at night. Loads of lovely restaurants all around you. Pool is fairly small but immaculately clean as was the entire hotel. Also always able to get a sunbed at the pool and there were 9 of us!! Plenty of shaded seating both front and back of hotel to eat breakafast /other meals, also cool indoor eating areas. Pool table in bar area. Rooms are variable, we had 5 of them. our room 201 was perfect. Some larger than others, but all clean and cleaned regularly. Staff are fantastic, so friendly and helpful, also speak good english. Gem is a lovely guy. Also you can have a laugh with the hotel staff. Breakfast ok. Plenty of fresh bread, eggs, omelettes, usual meats and cheeses, greek yoghurt, fresh jams, marmalades etc, tea and coffee.Cook available at a small charge. Good cooked brekkie next door too for 6 lira (£2 !) Usually never return to the same place twice, but for a family holiday (we ranged from 16-63) this was absolutely perfect. We will go back next year, as something for everyone and very safe area and beach absolutely beautiful. The water is shallow for a long way out and like a mill pond. Free sunbeds at the beach, all owned by the beach bars behind them. Just buy drinks from them -ROYS BAR was great, first bar you come to as you get to the beach. Fab food, amazing staff!! Have a great time. Would recommend to anyone!

Room Tip: we were in 201 which was perfect. Quiet and large and ground floor. There are no lifts, so request a...

we stayed at this hotel in june 2012 half board, when we arrived we were shown to our room the room seemed quite clean but when we looked in the bathroom we got a shock the shower cubicle door was that small if you had a waist more than 28 inc your not getting in ,but in all honesty after we told management were changed to another room .towels are changed every 3rd day if your lucky if you require them changed more frequent you pay £2 each item ,the food set menu basis so what you had on your first week you will get the same next week ,the waiters are all very polite and they all work very hard the only real problem is the rooms were not cleaned very often and bed linen was only changed once a week within our stay just remember that you are quite near bar street and come 1am it goes into party mode and goes on till 4am in the morning take ear plugs if your a light sleeper, the beach is a 10min walk from hotel were you will find restaurants and bars we recommend roys bar and the windy bay restaurant for a quality steak at a very reasonable price.

Having just styaed at the hotel serhan for 10 days, we were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The room was spacious, had flat screen tv and air con. Bar staff were fantastic as were hotel management BUT be aware. Please make sure you get a safety deposit box. Having our room cleaned on our second day (4.30pm), we had to sit on the balcony til the cleaner was finished, after this day the cleaners turned up later and later. When i asked them to come back in the morning - they didn't understand. on the 6th day of our holiday, i had had enough of washing with dirty towels and complained to reception that the cleaners were coming far to late (6.30pm) and that i wanted them to come in the morning. I didn't think this was an unreasonable request as it is not a big hotel and at half six at night most people like to be having a shower / rest from the sun before they hit the bars at night. So after complaing, we did get our room cleaned but alson had money stolen from us as well. So as before, if you are gonna complain about te lack of cleaning staff make sure you have a safety deposit box. That was the only bad point of this hotel. Pity the cleaning staff let the hotel down.
