Just returned from a week in the Serpina, it's a three star hotel and what you see is basically what you get. The rooms are basic but clean (apart from a little mould and mildew in the shower) and the pool area is very nice with a decent sized pool. The staff are friendly and helpful for example when we arrived our allocated room was overlooking an alleyway, when we went to the bar and found out that the hotel wasn't very busy we immediately requested for a room with a pool view and they happily moved us and even came and helped move our luggage.
The location is ideal as its away from the noisy bar street, its a short walk from the beach in Gumbet which is very nice and the dolmus for Bodrum stops outside the hotel and it only costs TL 3 which is just over £1.
My only negatives would be that showers are generally cold in the morning (hot in the evening presumably after the solar panels have been in the sun all day) and in my opinion the food was less than average but we just chose to eat elsewhere.
If I had to draw a comparison it's a travelodge with a nice pool.More
