Stayed here for a week at the end of June and loved it. I've been to Gumbet before but not to this hotal and was really pleased with it. Staff were fab, really attentive, drinks not expensive and food delicious. Only downside was the old bug bear of selfish people running out at 6am to bag all the sunbeds! (and not a German in sight).
Close to the shops, bars and beach but not too close that the noise keeps you awake.
Would recomment to all x

Oh, one thing, our cleaner was rathert random and on most days all she did was empty the bin!

Rooms basic but clean, fairly good size and good location over looking pool area. Was a little worried about being on ground floor but was reassured by reception staff it was totally safe with CCTV etc.
The family who run the hotel are lovely and very visible every day chatting to guests which was lovely and not forced, even introducing themselves already knowing your names. The other main staff Renzo & Peter are fab & funny working the bar & restaurant area where nothing is too much trouble. The menu is good & didn't have a bad meal there.
Renzo arranged a boat trip which was a good price collected & returned to the hotel without hassle I ended up going again - fab day out.
Having read the reviews & met fellow guests I understand why so many return year after year - they will have to add another return guest next year - me......

My girlfriend and I arrived here on the 17th June around half 4 in the morning, on arrival we were shown to our room which was absolutely boiling and very, very basic which wasn't a problem as we are students and looking for a cheap holiday. I went back to reception and asked for air con which cost £30 for the week which i thought was absolute scandalous and was a rip off, but had to have it. Apart from this initial blip we had an enjoyable stay at this hotel. Lovely pool area as wasn't many kids about so was quiet, music being played which i wasn't quite sure about. The two pools were clean and perfect temperature. Loved the shallow pool which is a bit warmer and lovely to chill in. Friendly bar staff, recommend the milkshakes. Alcoholic drinks a little pricey though. A fish bowl was 50TL!!!! Food was nice but again a bit pricey in comparison to other places, e.g. place across the road and a few places on the beach offered lunch and a large drink for 9 Lira which is incredibly cheap. Breakfast was pretty bad, fresh bread and watermelon only good thing.... hardly bacon and eggs!!!! Close to the beach and shops, very near to the bars but far enough away to be away from the noise which was nice! Got very irritated by the Turkish men trying to sell you goods though, very relentless if your our age and they know you will be interested in their goods. However shops offered good fakes and you can always get your goods half the price than they initially offer! Highly recommend Peters Place and Divers for places to eat (great food and service) and also an Indian restaurant which is located up some stairs opposite pasha bar on bar street, very nice curry and good price. Peshwari Naan was best iv'e had! Overall had a great holiday. Very lively area recommened to young couples.

Overall we had a very enjoyable stay at the Bagevleri. The main pros: very clean, good location, excellent cocktails, nice pool, friendly staff. Given that we didn't spend very much time researching hotels beforehand we were really pleased with the hotel, perfectly adequate for a very sunny week in Gumbet. The food was pretty good, the beers a tad pricey - 2 lira more than most of the places locally.

The only downside was having to wait until 6.30pm before we could check-in to our room as the previous people had decided they'd have a late check out..! Not an ideal start. However, we were given access to a different room to get changed, freshen up etc., so not much of a problem really.

As for Gumbet - we'd previously been to Olu Deniz so it took a day or two to adjust! Much livelier and lots of people on the streets harassing you, which did get irritating very quickly. We were initially really disappointed with the quality and type of food on offer (very few places doing decent Turkish food, most places doing Chinese, Mexican, Steaks, Indian, and British grub...variety: yes, quality: absolutely not) - but this was based on the bars & restaurants along the beach. Give them a miss. However, we did find some excellent restaurants courtesy of Tripadvisor - Divers and Peter's Place - outstanding service and food.

The perfect week away with 4 other girls. The rooms were spacious, clean and showers always hot. Great pool area and restaurant. I would highly recommend the boat trip which is run by the hotel.

Great location, close to Gumbet beach, bar street and you are spoilt for choice for restaurants and shops. Bitez beach is a short taxi ride away and definitely worth a visit, slightly more relaxed vibe to Gumbet with some lovely lounge areas right on the beach.

It was the staff who made our experience unforgettable, always looking out for you and trying to make your holiday the best it can be. I cannot wait to return next year!

Me and 4 other girls have just returned from the best week after staying at the hotel bagevleri.

Instantly we were welcomed by the hotel and taken to our rooms which were clean and spacious - had everything we needed. The pool was very clean and in the morning there is always sunbeds available. I can't say I ever made it up for breakfast but ate at the hotel a few evenings and every lunch time and the food was lovely.

I have so say the staff did make my holiday, they are friendly, and welcome you home whatever hour we arrived back. Peter and Mustafa we loved!! They really looked after us and I feel we have made some friends.

Am returning next year and really looking forward to it!!!

What can I say other than I'm gutted to be back home.

Came here for a week away with 4 other girls to stay in this hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful and always good for a chat when you've had a few too many like me most nights. Peter and mufasa at the bar were so much fun aswel we were all so sad to leave!

The hotel rooms are a nice size and are cleaned every day. Our room was right next to the pool which was ideal. Most days though we headed to bitez beach which was much nicer than Gumbet, cost around £5 in a taxi to get there.

There's also a really amazing Turkish restaurant which we found right by the hotel called amphora which I would definitely recommend if you want authentic Turkish food.

Can't wait to return with the spice girls to the Bageveleri for another week of fun next year!
