Booked at the last minute and got a very cheap deal for 10 days. It was so cheap we were able to hire a car and go off on a 3 day road trip to Pamukkale and Ephesus (recommended but thats another story). Anyway what about the hotel ! !
We were there at the very beginning of the season so very quiet and many places only just opening up. This suited us but not everybody. It was amusing to watch the beached arrive by lorry and spread out ready for the season ! !
Hotel opposite was noisy - yes the Karaoke and resident singers are bad but seemed to finish before mid night so no problem for night owls
Room nice and clean. First couple nights cold but extra blanket provided and things warmed up.Shower ranged from cold to boiling but suspect teething problems at start of the season.
Location - at the very end of the resort but not too far to walk along the front (on newly constructed beaches) . Very regular minibus service into Bodrum - cheap and very cheerful - give the driver the money when you feel like it and fellow passengers will act as unofficial conductors ! !
As previous reviews - staff extremely friendly (as were all the people we met in Turkey). Breakfast okay. Bar prices and restaurant - a bit pricey for Turkey but equivalent to England. Car for 5 days cost about £100 but petrol even more expensive than UK - is this possible.
Suspect Gumbet area would be good for partying and relaxing but go to Bodrum if you want a more classy (middle age) experience
PS Its not 4 star but what do you expect for the price ! !
