Summer Garden Apart Hotel

This is a very clean hotel. We had fresh towels almost every day and the staff were always polite and friendly. We only ate breakfast in the hotel and found that it is standard to what you would expect to find in a Turkish hotel. It would have been nice of it had finished a little later though as setting your alarm to make sure you get to breakfast on time isn't really what you want from a holiday.
We had a drink at the bar on our first night which was plesent and priced around average for the area although we did find cheaper on the sea front.
We found that bobby in the restaurant was very pushy and was hassling us to eat at the hotel. Having already made plans and wanting to try all the fresh local quinine we found him quite annoying a we couldn't walk out of the hotel without him showing after us that we should eat there, that he works on commission ect and geting quite stroppy when we said a polite no thank you.
Our room was a twin and had everything you could need. The only downside was that our balcony backed onto a shed where spare sunbeds and gardening equipment were kept. We found it quite annoying to have to have our curtain close as here were workmen coming back and forth. The air conditioning unit looked like it was falling off the wall and he plaster around it did need some attention.
Overall we had a plesent say and found lots of lovely local bars and restaurants. Unfortunately being harassed to eat in the hotel all the time just made me want to get out of there!

At first we thought oh crap, but that was cos we got there when it was dark and could not see much. Turns out we were 50m from the beach and away from the crazy of bodrum. It was nice to visit bodrum for a day or out for the night, (tis get the bus for not much rather than getting a taxi). The staff at the summer gardens are great, they really make you feel special. Seriously stay here for a chill out get a tan and eat kind of holiday.

Just back from a weeks stay at Summer Gardens. In the main i think the accomodation is pretty good and in an excellent location.
I booked a studio for the week for just myself. My initial studio on arrival appeared to be quite good - big, one double bed and one single. Shame the matress on the double bed had seen better days and looked more like a hammock. Night two was spent sleeping in the much better (and clearly newer!) single bed. The bed was the least of my worries... the cockroaches were the bigger problem. On arrival I found one live cockroach on the floor, as it was 4am I decided to place a glass over it and deal with it the next day. I then had to do the same with the two in the kitchen sink. Advised reception in the morning, who siad it was due to the heat and would get the room sprayed. Got to find when I got back that evening someone had removed the cocroach from the floor, shame they did not do the same with the ones in the sink! Came back from evening out that night and went to the fridge for some water... only to find another little friend IN THE FRIDGE! In the morning I asked to be moved. Credit where it's due - I was moved to a ndw studio within half an hour. New studio was really nice, all new furninishings and new matresses. Room was very clean and towels were changed daily. Only had one other cockroach!
The hotel need to do something about their hot water... could barely get a hot shower after 7pm... in the height of the summer with a minimum of 12 hours of sun this should not be happening.
I did not use the hotel facilities (pool, bar etc) so cannot comment on these.
All in all not a bad hotel but could be better. I would recommend that if you have booked a studio don't take room 808!!

Room Tip: Avoid 808 - the cockroaches live here!!!!

Just back from a week in the Summer Apartments. First time there but not disappointed. Friendly, helpful service with good accommodation. Its not five star but you're not paying for that. Rooms are clean and well furnished - no tv but we're not looking for that. They get the little things right - the air con works, the shower works, balconies you can sit on etc. Great location - two minute walk to the beach and bars/restaurants. Five minute walk to the centre of Bitez. Would go back. Brian & Liz, Edinburgh
