“Had such a laugh!”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

Rooms where very clean but could do with updating. Bathroom was clean and fairly modern. Unfortunately our air conditioning didn't work very well thankfully it was cooler at night.

As a group of girls we felt very safe in the hotel, going out at night outside of the hotel you do have to be careful. I would not recommend this hotel for someone who is looking for a quiet holiday. For younger people who are looking for a party atmosphere this hotel is perfect as it is situated right in the middle of Gümbet near bar street, which was perfect for us! But when we did want an early night we could hear the music in our room.

The food was really good! Nicely prepared and some prepared in front of you.

All inclusive was excellent, drink was definetly not watered down. Really loved Cozzy Bar, just being able to swim up to the bar was great! All the staff where fantastic, really got to know them and have a laugh with them! Also music playing most of the day at Cozzy bar.

All in all we had a great holiday and would recommend this to anyone who wants to party at night and sunbathe and swim in the day! I can't wait to go again!

I stayed at this hotel with 3 friends and we shared a family room which had a double bed and bunk beds. The room was quite small which was expected but suited us fine, and it was clean which was the main thing. The hotel itself and the grounds were really nice, and it's in a great location right on the beach. There are 2 pools as well so you have a choice of 3 places to chill out during the day. We mainly went to the pool by the Cozzy Beach bar as this had pillows to lie on and a swim up bar! There was also entertainment on here in the evenings which was alright, and it was open til 12am. The staff at this bar were really friendly, especially Snoopy from the animation team.

The food was pretty good and there was a lot of choice, although it was much the same each day, and there were many weird and wonderful puddings which you had to try to find out what they were. There was also ice cream time between 5 and 6pm, and this is the only time it's free - don't be fooled by a guy who comes round saying "free ice cream" only to try and charge you after you've opened it and taken a bite! We were, but my friend basically told him to get stuffed and we gave them back!

We didn't have any complaints with the hotel, apart from the fact that there was a 55 lira charge for the safe, not a deposit. We thought we wouldn't bother at that price and would just keep our money hidden. On the 3rd day we realised this had been a big mistake as the cleaners had gone through all our stuff and nicked quite a lot of our money, including half of my friend's lira. They took all my British pounds out of my purse, which fortunately wasn't that much, and in place put a 5 Riyal note from Saudi Arabia!? We went straight to reception to tell them and they said it hadn't happened before and couldn't blame the cleaners, even though there was no way it could have been anyone else, but we filled out a form with our rep the next day to log our complaint. They also gave us a safe key for free after that. It was a shame this happened so early on in our holiday as we stayed for a total for 11 days, so my friend had to watch her money after that. Luckily being all inclusive it didn't matter so much.

Besides this, the only other downside was probably the nightlife. If you're going to Gümbet mainly for the nightlife then you should go somewhere else because it's really not that great! We thought it would be amazing and there would be loads of tourists there, but it's mainly full of sleazy Turkish guys which we had to run away from at one point; not our idea of fun!

We booked 2 trips while we were there: one to the water park which was alright, been to better but still a good day out, and one to Dalyan where you go to a mud bath and Turtle beach, and we actually got to see some turtles which was really cool - this trip is a must!

Overall, we had a great time but my main advice would be to get a safe as soon as you arrive or you'll end up paying more in the long run!

Room Tip: Our room was right at the end of the hotel complex (1787) which probably made it easier for the clea...

Myself and three friends have just returned from a week in the Parkim Ayaz and were very disappointed. The hotel's grounds are nice but the rooms are tiny and dinghy - I've stayed in nicer Travellodge's. We'd booked two twin rooms and when we arrived found two single beds pushed together with barely enough room to move around the outside or store our cases... too cosy for a couple let alone friends, and a tiny wardrobe which would not hold much, as well as a shower door off of its runners so unusable and hairdryers which did not work. We paid for a room which would 'sleep up to 3 people' but you could barely fit 3 people in let alone a third bed. We immediately complained about the size of our room but the guy on reception was unwilling to help unless we would pay extra to upgrade to a deluxe room.

With the help of our rep we eventually got moved to one deluxe room which was average but still had its problems. As there were only 3 beds in the rooms the 4th person had to sleep on a foldaway bed which collapsed the first night, the shower door had a hole in it so the bathroom floor got soaked everytime we showered and the drainage was blocked so the shower tray filled up with water everytime somebody showered and the next person ended up showering in a puddle of dirty water. We were also annoyed to find that the safe was only available at an extra charge of £15/week.

The food was okay, pretty samey the whole week we were there but the a la carte restaurant was delicious, just a shame you could only go there once a week! The staff in the restaurant were okay but it was very much like a McDonald's restaurant in busy times having to grab a table as soon as somebody finished their meal and then getting somebody's attention to clear the table which wasn't always easy. When the cocktails were made fresh they were nice but there tended to be a bucket of cocktail made in the morning and left on the bar all day so not very appetising! The hotel did do nice ice creams and these were served everyday between 5 and 6. Also the all inclusive do not give you bottles of water as was the case in other hotels we've stayed in, you have to keep filling your bottle up from the water dispensers around the complex but these weren't always cold.

I think your opinion on this hotel will depend on what you're expecting, we were comparing the hotel to our stay in Egypt which was in a different league to this one. Overall the hotel was average and definitely not four star, I'd say 3 star being generous. I can thoroughly recommend the Turkish Baths which are attached to the hotel, very good value and great service but I will never stay in the hotel again. We went into Bodrum a few times and it's a much nicer area with the harbour and restaurants along it.

After 5 years It's still a very good hotel! This year first time all inclusive and the friendlyness is great, the service is very good, great staff and the food is better than ever. But before there was Cozzybeach and that was the place to be, now it is dead and it closes at 12 at night! No fun anymore there, so now have to spend our money somewhere else. I think that can be better!!

Stayed in the Parkim hotel for two weeks and just home. I can't recommend this hotel enough! The hotel has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. From the friendly staff, location, fabulous food and of course wonderful weather! The ladybird and cozzy bar staff are excellent.
The only small criticism I would have is that the nightly entertainment in the cozzy bar only lasts for an hour. I will definitely return to the Parkim!

Me and my Boyfriend just got home after a fantastic week at parkim ayaz. Did not want to go home , the people are all friendly. The animation team do not like loosing in pool but they are working on that one haha. They are brilliant including the DJ and especially the Bar men in cozzy bar. The hotel is on the beach front. Fantastic views from the hotel. No big wait for drinks in the day or night time which is great. The music in cozzy bar was excellent for us but maybe not for older people who don't like younger music. Its a great place for families and couples. Will be going back next year but not for 1 week as it is not long enough!

Overall 5/5 =)

Room Tip: Rooms on the east side are quieter
