“A little Gem of a Hotel!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2012

we just spent two weeks at the Bodrium Hotel & Spa and had a wonderful time.
The pool and outside spaces were imacculate thanks to the staff continually checking.
The breakfast was good, with plenty of choice and it was great sitting by the lovely pool to eat it.
The rooms, even though a little small were lovely and clean with clean bedding and towels most days. we did not have any treatments at the spa because they were a bit expensive and the drinks at the bar were too. A little tip: empty the mini bar and go to the Carafour up the road and chill your drinks from there! I can't praise this hotel enough and we intend to return.

Room Tip: Choose a pool view room because the garden rooms look a bit dark.

We spent 4 days relaxing here in Sept 2012 before going on a week's yacht charter. The hotel is in an improbable neighbourhood, but is lovely nevertheless. It is small, with modern detached three-story units, each floor being a bedroom. There is a large swimming pool, which is really lovely, if absolutely freezing cold (is it refrigerated??).

The rooms are lovely, if a little small. Not that much storage. But very comfortable beds, and excellent (necessary) air conditioning. Loved the rain shower, which is very powerful, and has endless hot water. Lovely little balcony, overlooking the pool. Memory foam mattresses were a real bonus.

Staff were a little distant initially, and don't speak much English, but became friendlier!

The food at breakfast was excellent, with a lovely selection of local cheeses and breads, as well as some unusual hot offerings. Coffee could have been better, but tasted much better than it looked.

The bar was quite overpriced, compared to other Turkish offerings around Bodrum. Their Mojito is to avoided, but all the other cocktails were nice. I'm sure the limes in the mojito were in fact unripe clementines!!!

The spa was lovely, and the steam room & sauna & gym are free to use.

Most of the other guests were Turkish, which must surely be a good sign.

Extremely good value - truly remarkably cheap for the quality on offer.

The only thing which I really didn't like about this hotel was the dreadful music, which was ubiquitous. Some of the songs were truly awful, such as 'Smack my B**ch Up' etc etc. This needs to be changed.

Apart from that, a wonderful place, and I'd definitely go again.

We stayed 3 nights in sept and really enjoyed it. Great pool area and the rooms are spacious, clean and well designed.
Breakfast is good without being fantastic. Not all staff speak English but you usually can find someone to help you out.

Just arrived back from 4 days staying at this hotel – where to start except to stay that this was a gorgeous hotel. It’s a small hotel, all centred around a huge swimming pool, but this is what makes it so special. The hotel feels smart and intimate, everything is pristine and well looked after. The rooms are spacious and (unless you’re on the bottom floor) very bright. The beds are big and really comfortable thanks to the memory foam mattress and pillows which is such a nice touch. Everyday the rooms are thoroughly cleaned and towels changed everyday – I cannot fault the room we were in –– even the bathroom which others have said was small, is actually fine – the shower itself is big and you have the choice between a rain shower or normal shower head – bonus! The reception area is a bit dated, but don't let this get you down, the rest of the hotel is lovely.

The swimming pool area is amazing too – most beds were busy during the days but the ambience was chilled and relaxed – everyone keeps to themselves and there is no entertainment to disrupt you. In the evenings, the bar/hotel is also quiet, but if you’re after a relaxing break, it’s perfect as no one bothers you.

Food-wise, breakfast is ok (cereal, toasts, fruit) though this is all we ate here.

In terms of location, it’s about a half hour walk to Bodrum Marina/town centre or max £15 in a taxi – of which there are plenty around! The nearest beach is Gumbet which can be reached via the free car transfer from the hotel though the beach is a bit tacky and not the prettiest – hence the comfort and cleanliness of the pool at the hotel is a massive bonus.

I would absolutely stay at this hotel again and really feel like it was value for money.

I came to the hotel with my husband. And we both had the same opinions about the hotel.  It's really a nice clean hotel, friendly staff, quiet place to sit after the long day tour or shopping. The rooms were nice and modern though the only thing we wish that the toilets were a bit bigger! The location of the hotel was really good, close to gumbet ( we can walk 10 min) closer to oasis shopping center (5min walk) . In our 7 days stay, we enjoyed a lot and if we go again to bodrum we will definitely choose this hotel.

Small. compact hotel - clean, quiet and perfect to unwind in after a hot busy day out n about. The rooms were quite small with even smaller bathrooms and balcony, but very comfy and clean - what more do you need really?! Good location - we walked into Bodrum (about 25 minutes to the castle/harbour) and into Gumbet (about 15 minutes) without any problems - you could always get a taxi back! I have only two negative comments; the drinks were VERY expensive and the breakfast got a bit boring after a few days. There was plenty to eat but a lack of meat and a fondness for all things 'eggy' proved a bit much after a weeks stay.......

All in all a very nice hotel, helpful, friendly staff and a lovely pool to cool down in :)

The rooms were kept very clean, they were modern but on the slightly small side! The bed was very comfortable with a memory foam mattress and pillows. The room had a balcony overlooking the pool, but the balcony was also a little on the small side - two people could just about sit on it. The pool was lovely but could have been a little bit bigger, especially as there were a number of children staying during the middle of our stay, and they seemed to overtake the pool! The pool side bar staff and breakfast staff were very friendly, but it was difficult to converse with the reception staff as they did not speak much english. The prices were quite expensive - approx £7 for a vodka & tonic! There was practically no information, readily available, about the spa, or other facilities the hotel had to offer, or what was available in the surrounding area - which was a bit of a shame. We went to relax in the sun - which we did, I would recommend the hotel, but it would be great if they did some of the little extras we've had in other hotels, such as complementry chilled water when lying by the pool, offer a welcome drink and promote both the hotel and other local amenties. I've marked the service as very good - this is due to the pool and restaurant staff rather than the reception staff - if I was marking just the reception staff I would say below average.

Room Tip: We stayed in 305, so caught the evening sun on the balcony
