Just back from Turihan Beach Hotel Gumbet. The location of the hotel is fantastic but the hotel could be cleaner. We asked for a room change as our room had not been cleaned when we arrived at 2.00am and we had to go up 2 flights of outside stairs which were quite dangerous with a hand rail which did not extend right to the top. The staff were very friendly and as we only spent so little time in our room it was ok. We would go back to this hotel,if only for the location, but we would make sure we had a ground floor room next time.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a ground floor room

just back from the turihan hotel in gumbet and we had a fantastic time. This was our 2nd visit and it was just what we expected... brilliant..The staff are all very friendly and professional. The rooms are cleaned every day and spacious..Located directly on the beach and with excellent food it was once again a brilliant holiday. Thanks to all at the Turihan for a great holiday..(mark - shirler birler padrone) See you next year

Room Tip: ground floor slightly bigger

Overall this hotel is perfectly adequate, we hired a car so spent odd evenings around the hotel but not many. The staff were good and helpfull. The rooms were cleanish, barring the bathroom (shower room really) I have uploaded my first photo on this occasion re the glass for toothbrush, ucghh!
the good thing is that the breakfast is brill, and the areas downstairs are very well maintained and clean. The staff are faultless. Its just a pity this is not as good with the maid cleaners in the rooms. Oddly (as we thought) we only had a bottom sheet (in twin beds, we would have preffered a double) with a sort of "throw" cover instead of a top sheet. We asked for more sheets, so we could put our own on which happened, but they disappeared next day!! Had to ask again and so on (best way is to hide them in the cupboard!!!)
Toilet worked sometimes! plumbing problems, but we managed. Hot water if you get it before anyone else! ( solar , so make sure the sun is shining!). Our room was very noisy, so bring earplugs if you want to sleep before 3 am. Our room was no 308, no view, but a balcony.
If I was a deaf person, wanting a cheap stay, I would go back, but I am not and would like some peace to sleep, although Im not an old fuddy duddy!

Room Tip: Try to get as far away from the noise as possible

Stayed at this hotel for the 1st time this year & wouldn't rush to book again. Hotel basically ok but encountered a few problems. The 1st room we were given was alive with ants & we had no hot water. The 2nd room had hot water but the drain was blocked & the bathroom flooded as it wasn't resolved properly the 1st or 2nd time it wasn't very pleasant paddling. The food for breakfast was mediocre & the restaraunt food was very bland didn't eat there a 2nd time. One or two of the staff were friendly but we found most of them unhelpful & surley. However it does have a small private beach.

Very welcoming by reception staff and hassle free. Room modern an clean with daily room service for clean towels etc. Food was very nice with plenty to choose from including english bacon and sausage and we didnt have one bad meal considering we ate there most of our holiday. Pool was small but very clean and the supermarket on site was reassonabally priced and very convenient. Hotel right on the beach and there were always available sun longers. It is less than a 10 minute walk to the main bar street. The staff were very friendly and more than accomodating especially the barman mehmet and dawn who is an english girl who is very knowlegeable. The only complaint was that the man on reception Hakan overcharged us for bite cream an we later found out we paid 24 lira more than we should of. Do not let this put u off especially as the other man on reception nahit was very polite an friendly and the hotel made the holiday. We are a couple in our lates 20's who would definately recomend this hotel an stay there again
