“Pleasant surprise in October”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2013

We have been to Bordrum before and we liked it last year. So now we want to go with two elderly friends. We wanted to be near the shopping centre and the beach. So allmost naturally we discover the Mandarin Resort. We were pleasantly surprised by the cleaness and the nice personnel. We never had an 'all-inn' arrangement but it fits us very well. Every day we did the beach (Dinc, very nice) walked a little, drinked a little and sometimes when we were tired we stayed for diner in the hotel, witch was well supported. So thank you friendly staff for your care. We had a very pleasant time and want to come back next year, with or without friends.

Room Tip: What I see was that all rooms has the same quality. I don't know anything in the top season.

I'm working in travel agnecy, so i saw many hotels in Turkey, in this case my opinion will be from professional side!
The best resort in Bodrum city! We spent 1 week at this hotel 8 people group, enjoyed the place a lot! The rooms are clean and nice, green garden, food - everyday you will find what to choose, a la carte restaurant- worth to go, nice atmosphere, and THE BEST staff. I can say it's 4.5* not 4*
Recemmend for couples, young people, friends group!

My friend and I went end of April 2013 we had been up graded from there sister hotel bantera naz,by on the beach only telling us hours before it wasn't open.
On arrival the place was nice 2 in reception one spoke English, very polite and frenidly,we were helped to our rooms, that were bright and reasonably clean but smelt of drains which I found out they try to stop by putting the toilet brush holder over, but by keeping the windows open it was better .the rooms have seen better days I think this place was built in the 60s and reflected that, other than a few new pics on the wall it had seen its day,but not dredfull.the beds were bad sharp corners and my friend gashed her leg badly on it so check that out and walk well around .the shower was very bad it was over a bath that was around3ft high and a 4/5inch metal casing around it I we had difficulty getting in and out,so again dangerous .safes were old and we had to go to get them sorted out twice, but on the whole the room was ok not amazing.pool area was good 2 pools but they should have separated them into adult and children there is no getting away from noise.pool bar good but they don't like giving drinks, half a glass of beer an English measure of spirit etc and if u go up again within 10 mins its obvious e they don't wont to give u more.but u egnore this.no one comes round the pool to clean up ,and staff just stand about the bar .the guys from the spa all be it that they are very nice drive u mad when ur trying to relax and the same for the d.j getting too much in ur space.the spa isn't good at all I have regular spas so I can honestly say its not good not clean and would erg anyone to go to one of the locality ones and there every where one at the back of hotel 2 mins away even, they even tried to fiddle money out of us .
The restaurant .out side and inside areas best out side very nice setting and waiters fab ,food good ,inside buffet cold and hot and out side b.b.q but after queuing as everyone does they only give u a smale amount I.e risotto 2 spoons then u have to que again no one bothers ,all very nice but not a lot of flyover to anything but I can't say I would complain.this area is the nicest in the hotel but you couldn't stay there and just sit with a drink, instead of going to tiki bar ,and a lot of people were asking .coffee is all full and ran out with half hr u have to pay for an orange juice ,u may have to as all juice is powder, remember to add warter to it .tikki bar o.m.g everyone complained d.j all full head banging music nothing was done and just aimed at 11 to 20 year olds, again, same guys that are on pool bar are there some days very nice but if they have had a late one forget it again made to feel they are giving u a drink not that you have paid ,one night a 20 min street dance group entertained very good ,but that was it.
Be warned the so called house doc .he will send u to the privet hospital for anything, and I was told by our rep he gets commission from them when he wanted to send my friend we said no and he really got the hump much to long a story to go into .waiting staff, good ,bar staff all very nice first day goes down hill and when they think your leaving start to say if you look after me ill look after you and that goes on every time you go for drink .there was a guy who seemed to know the d.j who was dealing drugs there for 5 days so this could be a big problem .the bar waiters one in particular and a few others all over the women now I'm 56 and certainly not interested in some young Turk but he kept approaching me and knock on our door early hrs so be carfull if you have young teenage girls it's not funny.the other thing was we were the only Englishman the hotel, all French and they cater for them ,it's ok if you have your own crowd but this hotel really is forfrench.on the whole it was good for the money we paid it really should on be a 3 star, more due to the bar staff side and d.j lack of any options and allthoe u had clean sheets and towels everyday the rubbish wasn't taken floors cleaned etc.be warned at around5/6 they call everyone to prays from the mosque down the rd you get used to it .my opinion go if its cheap enough, its not the worst hotel iv stayed in and most things they put right if you tell them .

Room Tip: Tell them if not up to standard straight away and check you don't need a ladder to get in the sh...

Stayed at the Mandarin Resort from 18-22 October on a long weekend. We arrived very early morning and the reception staff were efficient and showed us to the room within minutes. It was very clean and bright, the rooms seem recently refurbished and the power shower was fab. The whole grounds were very well kept. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and made our short break a great relaxing time. The food in the main restaurant was varied and yummy, but the snack bar made everything fresh - it was great!
The only downside was that the tikky bar closed at 11pm, and was all wrapped up by 12. But other than that it was great ......would definitely recommend, and return.
Thanks Mandarin Resort :-)

My friend and I were here in September 2012 and it was really pure pampering! Everybody is so kind and helpfull. The Mandarin Resort is a fantastic place to stay. The location is great too. The Poolbar and TikkyBar are nice. We danced like never before, because the local DJ-Music-Box of the Mandarin Resort had very nice Turkish music! and we liked that so much! There are super swimmingpools, beautiful gardens! You may use a one of the nice relaxing massages to feel like reborn. The menu in the restaurant is so fine, every evening there is another menu with so much variation. Our room was a very nice room with a view on the Poolbar and the superb boxsprings with a luxury bathroom with great strong warm water. Every two days new towels. Feels like a complete HAMAM! Just come and experience is the best way! You can trust the Mandarin Resort! :-) See you next time Mandarin Resort!!

Room Tip: Room with view on the Poolbar and beautiful garden!

We were in Mandarin resort for 11 days and we had the best time ever! the rooms are nice and clean (although some rooms need a bit of maintenance work done). The food was of good quality and always enough variance.

One thing that really stood out was the hospitality all the staff provided. I was in one word amazing :-)

Thank you all for making our stay so great and relaxed.
Hope to come back one day!!!
