“Excellent all-inclusive hotel with views to match”
Reviewed May 16, 2011

Voyage Bodrum is an all-inclusive hotel that is well worth it's 4* status. Rooms and the hotel in general were spotless and staff were always helpful and friendly. The pool and beach facilities were the same and being fairly early in the season there was always room/sunbeds. Of course, the main concern for most people when staying at an all inclusive resort is food and drink - well, you won't be disappointed on that front! Meal times were varied with plenty of choice of soups, salads, hot food, fresh bread and desserts whilst the bar was by far the best i've ever experienced on an all-inclusive with brand name spirits and 'proper' cocktails available all day - look out for the barman who looks like the Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh - he does some top notch cocktails ;)
Our only gripe with our week at the Voyage was 'main' bar on the beachfront - although waiters/waitresses were plentiful and meant well they often seemed to struggle with our orders in English which led to more than a few occasions when we would get the wrong drinks or have drinks missing from the order (receiving an Iced Tea instead of a Long Island Iced Tea was a regular) - again I think this may be to do with the fact it's early season and a few of these were training. Overall, we had a great week at the Voyage and I would definitely recommend it.

My wife & i have just a very hospitable week at this hotel ,the all-inc was 1 class, plenty of sun beds ,Hotel, clean & well looked after. The currancy is Turkish lire & they do not like £1 coins and ferry over to Bodrum needs lire, as do most drinking places when you go on a trip,.but you can change notes at the Hotel. The sea is cold in May but i would like to go back in Sept. when i would expect it to be warmer,.Mid day flight from Luton was tress free. There is only taped music in 1 bar at night. We got very good vaue for money & were well satisfied. Drinks were fantastic - good wine, branded spirits, ice-creams (Magnum's), pastries in afternoon. I would recommend a sea view ,good lifts available. Step hill for walks.

Room Tip: Sea view

I visited voyage bodrum on the start of may 2011. It was one of the best weeks of my life. The staff did everything they could for you- making us food when we came into the hotel in the early hours after missing the set meal times. The main restaurant was very nice-the food varied from day to day and also with the choice of the fish restaurant or downstairs food i don't see how anyone could complain. The rooms were simple, spotlessly clean and topped off with a very modern ensuite. The one thing that sticks out in my mind is the view from the lobby- absolutely breathtaking. I would definately visit again soon!

First time that I had been on a package holiday and first time visiting turkey. The hotel was surprisingly good, and judging by the look of the other hotels around the district, it was probably one of the best. The service was very good, the staff spoke english well and were very proffessional and well presented at all times. The food was excellent (something that I was worried about) there was large selection but it didn't change too much over the weeks' stay - I did get rather bored of it by the last couple of days. AMAZING selection of cocktails and drinks that are served all day long and good selection of bar and pool side snacks that were of good quailty too. The bedrooms were plain but modern but had all the relevant amenities, very clean and up to date. The television didn't have much to watch but then again you shouldn't want to be stuck inside anyway. The pool is a nice size and it is a blessing that it is an adults only hotel - I would not have liked it over run with children in the least! There isn't a great deal of deck chairs around the pool but it never felt like it was crowded at all. The atmosphere of the hotel is relaxed with a fun vibe. There is regularly a DJ with music on the sea front which most people seem to enjoy. you often see at least a couple of groups of people having a dance to it, it is more background music though so if you want a proper taste of the nightlife, search elsewhere. The hotel location is a short walk into the town although it is over a hill and the pavements in Bodrum are not of a good quailty so grab some sensible shoes! All in all a very good holiday - and I genuinely would return to this hotel. Very clean, modern and up to date, good food, service and a generally fabulous atmosphere!

there isnt much u can fault on the hotel apart from the nightlife isnt very good but you make it your own and bodrum club strip is easy to get to. the food is always good they have big selection and it changes everyday. the best place to get the sun all day is out on the jetty it gets crammed round the pool but you can always get a sunlounger on the beach. its a great location its in the middle of bodrum and gumbet and there both within a 25 min walk or you can get a bus for about 2 pound and there almost every 10 minutes. the staff are all friendly and will help u out when ever u want, only issue we had is that the beach bar closes at midnight and u have to go up to the hotel reception bar but u can get any drink u ask for. the rooms are really good and u dont get charged any extra for watching the tele which has english channels, everyone is friendly and your have an excellent time me and my friends have already booked to go back next year along with people we met at the hotel

We arrined in the dead of night after a late flight from Manchester. The hotel is pretty small for an All Inclusive from comparing it to the AIs I have stayed in before. The lobby looks nice and we were taken to our room. The lights on the corridor we stayed on were not on and the bell boy used a lighter to find our room - the only occasion they were not on though. Anyone who says the rooms are like student accomodation has never been to student accomodation! The food was great and the desserts to die for! The view over the bay was amazing and the drinks were pretty good for AI. The staff were not as good as could be. Here is the lowdown on the differrent aspects of the hotel from my holiday.

The room: Was standard size and layout, but we are in Turkey people and they do things differently. The room was painted all white with little decoration but no one sits in their room all day right so not a problem. Plenty of cupboard and drawer space. The bed was fine for me I had no problems with it, we got a double bed as well so no problems there either. In one or two places the furniture looks slightly tired but this is just being picky. The things I really liked about thwe room was the fact that the minibar wasrestocked every day and was free (soft drinks only), who wants to pay £2 for some bottled water?? So we took a bottle each for when we went out of the hotel and that really helped on the trips we did. The bathroom also had conditioner in it! This is the first hotel I have been in that provides conditioner as well as shampoo. We had a view over the entrance to the hotel, but as soon as you walked out of the room literally 10 seconds away you were facing over the bay and what a great view it is!! You can see the castle and the main harbour of Bodrum. Things to note about the room: there is only one small wastebin that was in the bathroom, room quite hot at night and the hairdryer gets very hot. Overall nice room, but plain.

The food. There was nothing I could say bad really about the food, except that I cannot eat a lot of dairy, and they do like their cheese! If you are a fan of a cooked breakfast then forget it because we are in a muslim country and they do not eat pork. However, take a trip to the outside buffet for some delicious pancakes and some scrambled egg! They also do freshly made waffles and there is a variety of james to go with as well as an actual honeycomb for honey. Lunch was always varied, with hot and cold options. The dinner was great I always had at least two plates of main course and the desserts were amazing! They have a sort of part custard/part cream filling and they stuff it in everything :) There is also a little patisserie wher you can get cakes at from 1 till 8 everyday. Didn't eat at the beach bar so can't comment. A la carte - amazing!

Location and general. The hotel is carved into the mountainside so you have good views but the sun goes down early. It is about 20 mins into bodrum and 30 mins back (up the hill) or get the water taxi about 5 mins and 5L each way. Nothing to do in the immediate area of the hotel. There were alot of the facilites closed, because it was end of season, like the hairdressers and massage place. The place seemed dead at night and we sat at the bar wondering where people were!

Staff: In the restaurant it look a long time for them to serve you drinks. In one case we'd had a starter and main course before any body came near us and we had to ask for drinks. They also took away empty glasses without asking for a top up. One breakfast we just had the water on the table finished and went to the pool bar for our juice. This only seemed to pick up onthe last day (maybe they knew we were going home??). Alothoiugh they did need to be on best behaviour as it was turkish bank holiday so lots of turkish inthe hotel. The guy on the night shift in reception is good, he knows his english well and is quite pleasant. The other reception staff have no idea what you want. We asked ofr a breakfast box and got told we wanted a lunchbox ( not at 7am), and when we asked about our reservation at the a la carte they had no idea what we were on about.

In summary, if I was offered a cheap deal in a busier season I would go again to give them a chance, but otherwise I would look for somewhere else to stay.
Any qs please ask.

When we arrived at the hotel my face dropped, I was so disappointed after dropping off people at their hotels. The Voyage is simply in need of some TLC. It looks tired and is old fashioned. The rooms resemble student accommodation and there is paint peeling off everywhere.

Having said all that, the location is fabulous.

Advice: There is nothing to do here if the weather is poor, we had two days of hurricane type weather and sat twiddling our thumbs.

The rep was pretty useless......make sure you pay for trips etc in £sterling as the exchange rate is terrible at the moment and the rep didn't bother to share that information with us, we found this out from some other guests. You would think that using their own currency would be beneficial.....think again!

Take plenty of £'s, Euros and Lira as you will need them all.

I took a travel mattress and was so glad that I did as the beds are really uncomfortable.

The water taxi to Bodrum was fantastic, great fun, convenient and cheap.

The food is excellent and I am a really fussy eater!

The beach bar area is clean and there is a drinks service.

No need to bring your own towels as these are provided along with hairdryer and safe in the room (although strangely not fitted to the wall??)

All in all, if you stay out of the hotel in the grounds, pool bar, beach area its fabulous. if you like to spend a lot of time in the comfort of your room, this place will disappoint!
