The castle is the main monument in Bodrum. The castle contains also the underwater archeological museum. You can see ancient amphoras there. Most of them are from the second century BC. There are also some Roman amphoras. The castle was restorated and there are several towers and also a dungeon.

This is super, although all it contains is lots of Pots and Jars, you get a feeling of how it was in the Ancient Old Days!!

No-one tells you that the castle & the underwater museum are the same thing! As you walk round the castle, you get to see all the many treasures divers have recovered from the sea through the years.

Lots of interesting items to view.

The museum is located in the castle so you wil visit both at the same time. A lot of ancient artifacts rescued from the sea. Everything is we'll explained in english.
Very interesting and enjoyable form 1 to 2 hours visit. Children will enjoy the old castle too.

Like rest of Turkey lots and lots of history but yet in modern surroundings
The castle from the top gives you great views of city and why it was built where it was and the diffrent wings that were added by the conquerors over the years of occupation to me if you doing the board walk area which is a must do the castle and most of all for the males go have a full Monty at a Turkish barber the experience is worth it even if you don't think you need a cut or shave
Loved bodrum my second time this time we experience a 6.9 earth quake we were our whole family 8 adults and 5 children we were there for 11 days and we could have done more to explore worth bucket list
