We picked this hotel because of good things said about the restaurant in several guide books. Both the hotel and the restaurant met and in some way exceeded our expectations. We tried several restaurants in town, but after awhile concluded we couldn't do any better than staying in our compound.
The dining room is cozy. There is a spectacular view over the coast line. Service is gracious and professional. Both Turkish and continental dishes are prepared with care and style.
The night we arrived at the hotel, after a longer than expected bus trip from Selcuk (Efes), it was late and we were tired. We had called in the afternoon and suggested our arrival would be quite late. We dropped our bags in our room and headed up to the dining room. The air was cooling off, it was pitch dark, and the first thing we saw was a lovely faux fireplace. Over the course of four days we ate at the restaurant three or four times, working our way through the menu. There are dishes from the Turkish repertoire and "Continental"/European entrees. Everything we tried was excellent. The overall experience ranked well among our best dining experiences in a month in Turkey. the chef and staff are proud of what they do, and they make a fine team. I was impressed that a lot of locals chose to dine at the restaurant, not just those of us who were staying at the hotel.
We would go back to the hotel and the restaurant without hesitation.
