Oh to see this when it was one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world. Almost 2000 years ago it must have been a sight to see, Where we get the term from.

If you expect to see one of 7 wonders of the world - you'll be bitterly disappointed but - this is undoubtedly THE place to see. I said in my title "think twice" because all those who have said anything against this magnificent site are not aware of grandeur of Mausoleum as it used to be. Please find some time and read about the facts - like the fact that the whole structure was made of 160.000 marble blocks 90x90x30 centimeters! This is mind-blowing! Just use your imagination, use some pictures you'll see on the site ... and it will be more than crystal clear how exceptional was this structure. Yes, it looks very poor now but taking in consideration all the time and devastating events it has survived ... in my opinion it is really breathtaking. Very worth visit if you are able to see at least a part of what it was one. If not - go to the beach or have a drink by the sea. History of the world is not your cup of tea.

There is a small entrance fee and its worth a visit. Quite interesting story here but only need about 30 mins to see everything.

Very poor indeed , the fact they charge you to gain entry is shocking . Really not worth the walk there .

This is a piece of history found among the homes & just above the Marina. Before it’s ruin, it majestically overlooked the sea. If you are enchanted by the ancient, this is very interesting.

For the people who interested in history, this is the place which is worth visiting. For others it may look a bit boring as its only stones

We enjoyed visiting these ruins - which unfortunately are not well marked out with road signage. Information in the musuem needs up-dating as it is old ad difficult to read. Murals are good as is the mosaic.
