“Good business hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2012

There is nothing I could complain about in this hotel. I can’t say much about the location, cause I did not manage to get an overview of the city, but it is walking distance from the “Pub - Street” which is the drinking and eating hotspot in Ankara - so I was told.
The rooms were good, clean and big enough. AC worked fine and the water pressure was amazing, even in the 8th floor. They serve a really good breakfast there - Turkish, mind you, but really good with grilled vegetables, olives, tomatoes and so on. But no real ham, just a few beef sausages that do not compare to the ones made out of pork.
Service at the front desk was great. When I got there they asked me how much I paid for the taxi. Turns out I paid too much. They called up the taxi driver and made him give me part of the money back. That was great.

Room Tip: Top floor - these rooms have a great terrace.

Stayed there one night in november 2011, booked a single room. The hotel is located on one of the well known streets in Ankara, called Tunali with shops and embassies nearby. Transportation is not very easy if you wont call a cab. There are buses being operated by municipality however it is not easy to manage being a foreigner. Subway station and the main city center (KIZILAY) are 30 mins by walking and the road is with ups and downs. Shortly, I would use the taxi service. Reception calls for it and in 1-2 minutes it is at frontdoor. Make sure that you have the address of the destination written, cause the driver wont be speaking English or other language. Since Ankara is a big city, the amount you pay may range from 5 euros to 30 euros(city center from hotel will cost around 7-10 euros).
The room i stayed was quite small probably most of them are the same since the hotel was constructed on a land that was restricted by surrounding buildings and streets. It wasnt easy not to hit sth when walking. However, it was finely furnished. i didnt experience noise from outside or within. It was clean.
Reception was friendly and helpful but similar to the rooms, reception area is quite small too.
Breakfast was ok. Client relations manager asks about your opinion about the stay, one by one. Breakfast hall has the view of the street.
In short, it was a reasonable stay for one night. But I would definetely stay somewhere else next time if i'll intend to stay longer since the rates are similar.

Supposed to stay 2 nights but checked out after one. No non smoking rooms, room smelt of smoke, bar closed, restuarant closed. Breakfast was poor, staff not particularly pleasant. Would definately not stay again.

Ankara used to be badly served on decent hotels, but times are changing. This Ramada hotel is a good exemple: nice modern rooms, excellent wellness/pool facilities, good service... Only downside is restaurant (inside); not exactly very cosy.

Good property. Some of the fittings were loose though.

Serves a pretty wide variety of choices for breakfast - only thing is all choices are cold. All hot preparations are unsuitable for vegetarians.

I did not go anywhere near the hotel's restaurant other than for breakfast.

There are two malls / markets nearby and that helps in terms of evening food options. Lots of fresh fruits available in the markets. Also, one can get a good dose of top quality Bakhlava there.

Lots of taxis available in front of the hotel and public transportation options are nearby as well. However, I had an end to end chaufferred trip and did not use the taxis or public transport options.
