Room hygiene was ok not bad. Food average. Location is at center of city near to public transportations. They got cable TV in rooms. No bad smell or odor in rooms or sheets. My only complain is the hotel supervisor and guy at reception was so rude and doesn't interested any of your problem I mean no help full at all!

Stayed in this hotel during our Cosmos tour. Lots of choices of food during breakfast and dinner, the highlight of this hotel. Wifi signal in the rooms are good as well, and free. Front desk clerks are very accommodating.

The rooms are quite dated, a bit of smell of smoke, carpets would better be replaced.

Hotel is conveniently located at the center of Ankara. You can walk to the Anatolian Civilization Museum. It's not "quite" an easy walk as you walk uphill, but it's a good exercise after sitting in the bus for 4 hours. Just enjoy watching the local people doing their daily lives and you'll enjoy the walk better. Or stop by for a Turkish chai (tea) if you're tired. Also, this hotel is at the city center, there's plenty of restaurants and bars and a nice shopping mall.

I don't mind staying again in this hotel if I go back to Ankara.

the hotel smells of smoke. the guests smoke at leasure. the hotel reception was totally unmindful of smoke related complicataions. the lady who admitted us did not not care about children inhaling tertiary smoke. they then provided another room with ashtrays. will not recommend this hotel to families with children. very old.

Room Tip: will avoid the hotel. unhealthy for children, i am afraid.

The walls in the room of GurKent are thin. We could hear the people next door. No wonder the hotel made the decision to preset the television's volume. The bathroom is a little small and there was a persistent smell along the corridor. Stairs to floors are dark and a little unkept. A major plus is that it is centrally located. Shops and eateries are within a minute walking distance. Wifi was not available in our room but the mezzanine which serves also as dining area is a place to hang out. Check out the talking parrot at the lobby. Otherwise, Gurkent is ordinary. An adequate hotel for a day stay.

The Kent Hotel was our home for one night while on a tour of Turkey. It has a nice lobby and dining area with a very nice breakfast buffet. The room was large, but dark and more than a little tired. The public room pictures make this hotel look much better than it is. When we arrived the American flag was flying upside down on the front of the hotel and after being told about the disrespect, the hotel quickly changed it. Lots of shopping and restaurants close-by.

The Kent Hotel in Ankara (also known as the Gur Kent or Gurkent Hotel) is a modern hotel that is beginning to show its age. It is conveniently located in the city center, within walking distance of major shopping streets.

One can take the bus on Ataturk Blvd. north to the equestrian statue at Ulus, and then walk east up the hill to the museum of Anatolian Culture (half closed in early 2013). From there one can walk back down the hill to the Ulus metro station for the ride out to the Ataturk memorial, which is a walk up the hill from the Tandogan metro station.

The Kent hotel staff is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet is pleasant. Rooms are a bit dated and some smell mildly of cigarette smoke. Corner rooms are larger, with a double rather than twin beds, a Jacuzzi tub, and a sitting area.

This is a reasonable tourist class hotel in a central Ankara location. I stayed there on a group tour, and cannot evaluate prices or airport transportation.

Room Tip: Corner rooms have a double bed, sitting area, and jacuzzi tub.

Acceptably clean hotel within easy walk of new town but too far out of old town which we were unable to explore. Very dated hotel. A shuttle bus to the old town would have enhanced this hotel. Food was acceptable but nothing to rave about
