Owner description: The baths were constructed with three main divisions: a frigidarium (cold section), tepidarium (cool section) and caldarium (hot section). They were built during the time of Emperor Caracalla (3rd century AD) in honor of Asclepios, the god of medicine. Today only the basement and first floors remain.

“Important Place for Roman Ancyra”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

It was a classical Roman bath and built in 3rd century AD to honour Asclepios. If you're in Ulus district, you can't be able to find a better stop than this.

“look at the tombstones”
Reviewed May 20, 2013

More interesting than the baths are the tombstones. You can only imagine the baths with very good imagination. What it is price lees is to read every tombstone and imagine the people behind. It is 5 TL, so it is worth it!!

“Definitely a highlight of Ankara”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

This is out of the way and infrequently visited; at least it was when we were there, I don't think I saw anyone else when we visited on a Monday. It's a few lira to get in but the ruins of the bath are beautifully preserved and there are some great views of Ankara from the hill. Worth a look for sure!

“Needs to be Improved”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

Needs to be improved. As a solo sightseeing whilst doing business in Ankara i took the time to take a walk around. During my day this was the only place that charged (3 lira). Worth a look but they could do more with the site.

“Wander to your hearts content”
Reviewed May 16, 2012

A very good site with grave steels, carvings and columns in abundance. The site is a good size and the setting is nice so you can easily wander around it. It is very obvious what things are.
