Owner description: This fascinating museum contains over 200,000 historic pieces of which only a fraction can be displayed at one time. Exhibits include Early Bronze Age statues and Neolithic wall paintings.

Once you get there, the museum is half way between Ulus and the citadelle, you can lose yourself into anatolian history from all periods of time. They have amazing artifacts and you can easily spent half a day there. With good weather don't forget to explore the outdoor area, which is also worth an hour. Nevertheless: the museum is NOT the best place for younger kids (-10 years); they start getting bored after half an hour!

It was a little difficult to get there due to construction but was worth the visit. many exhibits dating from the earliest times. Well explained. The outdoor area is also worth spending time exploring

There are very valuable artifacts made by anatolian civilisations like Hatti, Hittite, Pyrygian, Lydian, Urartian.

The museum is fascinating.
At the entrance you can choose an audio tour that will guide you through your entire museum. As important fact of my visit was the first place on Ankara where can find a guide who spoke Spanish and English.
The museum has extraordinary pieces and is divided into different periods of history.
