I stayed at the Deniz Atlanta for just one night after booking a single room for 90 TL through hostelbookers.com. I don’t have any major complaints about my stay other than that it is a bit pricey for what it offered (I guess that’s Ankara for you). Otherwise, location was excellent as the metro stop was just a few minutes’ walk away, and amenities like restaurants and supermarkets were more than plentiful. My room was clean but the view was rubbish (it's on the second floor facing the back), and there were just about enough plugs for the camera, phone and other accessories. TV was good – English channels freely available – and the air-con worked fine. Wifi was ok and was free but signal was iffy. Shower was excellent and hot water was on all day which is handy. Breakfast was not bad on the rooftop which commands great views of the city. The hotel staff were fairly helpful - check-in and check-out were a breeze, with credit cards accepted. Not a bad choice for Ankara if for a night or two.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the higher floors as the views facing the back might be better

Oncelikle otelin kat isiklari calismiyor, odaniza girerken yada cikarken el feneri kullanmaniz gerekiyor. Ekonomik odada kaldim, odanin isik dugmesi yine odanin en sonuna dogru bir yerde idi. Gunduz oldugunu saate bakmadan anlayamiyorsunuz, cunku odanin disari bakan bir penceresi bile yok! Tavana dogru, koridora bakan bir havalandirma penceresi oksijen kaynagi oluyor. Lavabonun yanindaki camdan raf yere 30 derece aciyla duruyor, cunku kirik. Otel bakimsiz ve eski. Bardagin altina koyduklari pecete saniyorum demirbasti, uzun zamansir degistirilmemis, lekeli haldeydi. Dus mu? Bahsedip daha icinizi karartmayim. Bir daha asla!

Deniz Atlanta hotel is a clean budget hotel in the center of Ankara. The location is the top advantage. It’s close to everything. Bazar, bus station, Metro, …

Rooms are in two types. When you book this hotel ask them to give you a room with window. Some of the rooms have no window and are like a cell.

I stayed at Deniz Atlanta Hotel last fall for a week and have just booked another week for this August. I am a PhD student doing research in Ankara, so price and location were extremely important for me. I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The staff was helpful, friendly, and spoke fluent English. The room was clean and the hotel is in the middle of the city, close to public transportation, and a short walk to Kizilay. I have also, however, traveled extensively throughout South Eastern Europe, and so have fair and realistic expectations of a hotel charging less than 50 dollars for a room. Please keep this in mind when you book a room. The only complaint I have, which was not, ultimately, the hotel's fault, was that I had an interior room without a window... After a week, I was getting a little claustrophobic. That being said, their lounge is fantastic, and is where I spent most of my time while at the hotel, reading or working on my laptop. I would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for an economical option in the heart of the city.

Deniz Atlanta is a good 3-star hotel for a nice value. So, it is popular among turkish and foreign tourists. Booking in a big advance is not necessary, but there can be no free rooms, sure. For example, as we arrived here early, they couldn`t give us a room before check-in hours as previous guests still were here.

Room is good, with air-co, minibar / fridge, but their boiler for winter time probably is small and hot water actually can be only warm for sometimes.

Restaurant on 8th floor has a good view and good service. It can be reasonable to have your lunch or dinner here. Also, turkish breakfast is very nice.

We made a good choice to stay here.
