We just returned from a wonderful weekend at the Walker Inn. We stayed in the Purser Cabin. The cabin was clean and very comfortable. It exceeded our expectations.
The experience was unique and memorable. We enjoyed walking through the gardens, exploring the house and learning about the history of the inn from its amiable host. We especially loved sitting on the front porch in the rocking chairs until dusk enjoying this peaceful and relaxing retreat.
We didn't want to leave and we hope to return.
Go if you have the opportunity.

We have our Family reunions here every year and the Inn could not be more charming and sentimental for us. The proprietors are dear people who work very hard to keep things running smoothly. Breakfast is always wonderful and they go out of their way to make all of their guests feel at home. Around every corner is history and warmth. The grounds are beautiful with open areas for kids to run and play. An all around great place to relax and stay awhile!

This had good points and bad. I have stayed at many B&Bs and this was unique. I booked the "Judge's Chamber" upstairs, but decided to switch to the log cabin next to the Inn after on inspection. The Inn is very old and not as clean as it should be, and has not been well maintained. Its more like a museum than an Inn. The cabin was nice on the inside, but no heat in the chilly AM. There were gas logs in the fireplace, but I could not figure out the procedure to light it. The best feature was the grounds and gardens. Very beautiful and well maintained by the husband and son. But all the Inn keeping falls on the wife, who is a very very nice person by the way.
