The hotel has a hardline policy on guest identification. Before checking in, guests must present a recent National Government issued ID or else, you shall be denied service. Membership in Red Planet's on-line app, even with a member's extensive personal data, is of no value to the hotel. You are assured of no consideration, even if you are a Red Planet frequent guest. The policy goes against the historically important values of the hospitality and tourism industry. Openess and Friendship. Rest and Recreation. Welcoming tired guests.

Front Desk staff will not seek alternative ways to validate your identity. They might as well place a "You are not Welcome here" sign at the door. Customers need not have to go thru the inconvenience and the disrespect the Customer Identification policy encourages.

Safety for all is important. But thier are global best practices to achieve that. These do not turn the hotel against its loyal customers. Sadly, this Red Planet Hotel property completely ignores all of those learnings.

Dear David Francis C,

Warm Greetings from Red Planet Quezon Timog!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your experience as it is also through our guests' feedback that we are able to know the things that we should pay more attention to. Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience of having to present a government-issued ID upon check in. We did not mean to make it difficult for you as this is just our standard practice. We just wanted to ensure protection of the hotel and its guests. We ask for your full understanding on this hotel policy. On your next visit, please do not hesitate to look for me should you have concerns. Again, thank you and we look forward to welcoming you back.

Sincerely,

Sherry Bartolome

The hotel is just on the 2nd block after Manila's main highway - EDSA. It is very convenient for travellers with Quezon City in their agenda. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. We were able to have an early check-in. Free parking and fast wifi, too! The room and bathroom is small but very clean with comfy pillows and bed. Soap, shampoo and shower gel are in one dispenser. For the price, I would definitely go back.

Front desk was asking for a passport to check in. What the hell do you think your place is? An embassy or customs? If you want a passport to be use just to check in, Put in your website "BRING PASSPORT TO CHECK IN". "NO CHECK IN WITHOUT PASSPORT". Who would want to bring their passport around Quezon City where infested holdapers and criminals are lurking around to forcibly take your things from you.

Room tip: tiny motel where a horny couples used to have sex. I bet if you use the blue light you'll see all type of DNAs and bedbugs.

I like everything about this hotel. It has everything I need for the stay. Price to what I get is just right. Reception was very helpful and pleasant. Location is great, just a stone throw away from my work, and the MRT.
