“Excellent choices but not enough!”

Dining at the buffet has been so good for me and my wife. food was great, choices and of course the taste plus the set up has been great. staff are courteous! but there is only few things i can comment.
1. Wish that once they do the buffet, they should have enough stocks to offer specially the Lapulapu. i felt sorry when they ran out even though on the middle of lunch time.
2. I am impressed for their free fruit juices or shakes specially the watermelon. its just it took me 30-1hr standing by the bar due to no attendant. staff told me bartender is on break, and nobody adjusted from the staff. when Bartender arrives, i was shocked maybe due to volume orders, he just unripened the half watermelon and just pressed into that blender. hope management seen this.
other than that, all was great....

“Poor sanitation”

My family visited the place to celebrate our anniversary. It was a lunch buffet and I noticed that their serving spoons were placed on the table and they didn't bother to put a plate to rest the serving spoons. Then when my wife is on the bread station she saw a tiny cockroach roaming in the plate. She asked the waiter to remove the plate. The food choices are very limited and they don't look and taste fresh. Waste of money.

“Waste of money!”

-They dont serve Salmon Sashimi and with very limited sushi and sashimi dishes. Where can you see a restaurant claiming to be offering japanese dishes that dont serve Salmon Sashimi? Its one of the reasons why we like buffets, so disappointing!
-they dont refill their dishes immediately, the tempura are served almost 20-30min intervals.
-the steaks are BITE-size! And you have to wait before you can have your steak, the reason of the one grilling the meat: the meat are still FROZEN! Its around 12nn when we went there, at the "rush hour" of lunch time, and yet the meat are still frozen.
-FEW food choices.
-the place is too hot, we literally are sweating while eating. We even asked one staff to provide us with an electric fan/portable cooling device.
-i suggest you just spend a little more to dine at Vikings or Buffet 101, instead of being frustrated with the poor quality of food and service in this place. Not worth our money.

“Below Vikings or Buffet 101's standard”

I used a website's vouchers for this buffet for a Friday night.

We arrived at about 1900 hours (7pm). Our car was politely taken away and parked, valet style, by a friendly attendant.

There were about 40 patrons when we arrived. Numbers slowly increased but it was never more than half full, which was surprising and in contrast to Viking's Luxury Buffet branch near Mall of Asia.

The selection of food was reasonable but the quality was not as good as Vikings or even Buffet 101, nor was it as good as the hotel buffets such as Corniche at The Diamond Hotel Manila, but in fairness this Quezon City buffet is cheaper.

One or two of the hot items were only warm which to me is a big no-no. However the area appeared clean.

Staff were OK although not overly fast to respond to requests.

This place is a fair way from the Mall of Asia area and it shows. It lacked the 'pizzaz' of many other Metro Manila buffets.

“Never going back”

We booked The Buffet for my husband's birthday & invited several family & friends. We have previously visited the place & was impressed with the diversity of food, service & ambiance. So we were quite surprised with how things have evolved since our last visit considering that we booked a weekend lunch (which is more expensive than their weekday rates):
- There are less food choices now as compared to before. They no longer serve salmon sashimi (which is our family's favorite at buffets) & fruit shakes.
- The restaurant could not cope up with the turnover of dishes. The casseroles are empty & one must request before they replenish a certain dish (which takes around 20-30 mins waiting time). The restaurant generally looks like it was SCRIMPING on the food;
- Also, the restaurant also looks like it was scrimping on plates & glasses as shelves where plates & glasses should be placed at are empty.
- You have to follow-up on your orders for them to be served.

In fairness, they still do serve good-tasting food items. However, it was just humiliating on our part to see our guests running out of food. We actually had to apologize to our family & friends for the bad choice of birthday lunch venue. The hallmark of a good buffet restaurant is one that spells delicious abundant food which is lacking here. The restaurant used to be so promising. Now, it just looks like it's on its way down. With the amount paid, you are better off going to other buffet restaurants.
