“yummy spicy wanton....”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 4, 2014

we were craving for Chinese food, when our teacher suggested that we try Mien San, so he brought us there...
place is nice, not crowded..but was full when we get there...
we ordered, tendon stew noodles (his favorite), onion pancake, fish with mushroom, dumplings, rice (not sure if its fried or mixed, since i didn't ate it)
typical serving of complimentary tea... and its good ( I think I finish the whole pot :P)
food is good, I really like the taste of spicy wanton, as there is some sweetness and a kick of spice...
I don't eat beef, so I can't comment on the tenderness of the tendons, but my companions says that its soft and chewy..
only disappointment is the onion pancake, as its a bit flaky.
overall, its a 4 star for me..
Restrooms are also clean.

“Cravings for tendon stew noodle soup (and more) satisfied by Mien San”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2014

Whenever I crave for a steaming bowl of Taiwanese tendon stew noodle soup, Mien San is always on my mind. It has become one of my comfort foods. The tendon is so soft, it almost melts in my mouth. I used to order beef with tendon noodle soup but have found their beef a bit tough/chewy so I switched to pure tendon.
Be it with friends or family, I always make sure we have century egg with tofu, wanton with spicy sauce and fried pork kutchay dumpling. We used to order spicy goto too but they no longer serve it.
The place has a quick turnover as food is cooked/served fast. The servers are efficient and quick as well.
Cleanliness can sometimes be an issue. There are times I've seen some dirt on my glass. But so far, that didn't stop me from going back to have more of their food.
Their menu can be found here: http://www.munchpunch.com/mien-san-noodle-house-new-manila/menu. Next time I visit them, I will try their other dishes so I can add new favorites on my list.

“Noodles disappoint; steamed kutchay dumplings were very good!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2013

skip the noodles... the noodles and the broth of the spicy beef with tendon noodle disappoint though the beef (with tendon) in the noodles was very good. Was it because it was November2 (a holiday) when we ate here ? This does not go well for a restaurant with 'Noodle House' in its name.

Still, the steamed pork&kutchay dumplings were very good. The restaurant, & the restroom in the upper floor, are clean enough.

“Mien San - Noodles and Dumplings”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2013

We usually order these in Mien San

Steam Kuchay Dumplings - The best we had. Soft meat without the grits that will be stuck between your teeth. The veggie is tasty without the bitter taste of kutchay veggie.

Beef Tendon Noodle Soup
Noodle - Close the the good hand-pulled texture.
Broth - Very Good and spicy.
Beef and Tendon - excellent texture.Tasty and tender beef with premium cuts.
Serving Size - can be shared

Free Tea
