1.) a bit expensive, the food in general isn't as good as cheaper options around the metro.

2.) the ambience is okay a bit dirty, you expect a better looking place for the price.

3.) service is okay.

“Affordable Persian cuisine that's perfect after a night out”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2011

The original Behrouz Persian cuisine off Timog Ave in Quezon City has come a long way. Though it's expanded quite a lot, now featuring an airconditioned section, the food essentially remains the same.

Relatively affordable, you can either eat with pita bread or with buttered rice. I'm not sure if they offer the long grain in this original branch like they do in their pricier branches along Wilson St. in San Juan or the one in Metrowalk, Pasig but if they do, that's an option too.

Beginners would probably opt for shawarma (beef or chicken wrapped with vegetables in a pita bread), but then they should move to beef kabab (ground beef shaped like a flat hot dog) with grilled tomato and onions and topped off with a good spread like Mutable (eggplant) or Humus.

On the next visit, try their butter
rice, hopefully it's long grain, with either the beef kabab, or you throw in a grilled chicken barbecue (very juicy with hints of kalamansi fruit sprinkled on it). Or if you want the oilier stuff, I also recommend the beef tomato and onion, and the liver tomato and onion. Mind you I don't like eating liver, but theirs tastes excellent. Order brain on the side, and you're set! Oh you can add a banana shake on the side, very very good.

$5-$10 a head
