Me and my family ate here to celebrate my birthday. And I regret celebrating it here. Space is small maybe the restaurant capacity is 30-40 pax. Food is ok but very small serving. Their ala carte menus which is good for 2-3 persons (accdng to the waiter) seems like good for solo only. HK steamed fish cuts were very thin like a flat gum. Ribs in Coffee sauce tastes like flour and too sweet. Dishes we ordered that tastes good are Mee Goreng, Yeung Chow, and Orange Chicken. Overall, the taste of dishes are average and overpriced since serving is small.

The branch at SM North Quezon City, Philippines has limited sitting capacity. This makes it ideal for couples or small groups who prefer a quiet environment to enjoy their meal. We only had their fried tilapia and kangkong (water spinach) since there were only two of us out for a light meal. The food was excellent! The menu offers many choices and the prices are quite reasonable. No wonder its a multi-awarded restaurant (http://www.bananaleaf.com.ph/2010/) which offers dishes from Southeast Asian countries.
Try it!

This restaurant chain specializes in southeast asian cuisine, and has naturally, a very extensive menu representing each region. They have all the drinks from thai iced tea to vietnamese coffee, but my favorite is the pandan (pandanus) iced tea which was so refreshing. Their roti canai is everyone's favorite, and you can have it in different ways (sweet or savory). All the dishes I have tried (I try a different one each time) are good enough (again it is unfair to compare it to their local counterparts). They don't have plates here; you are given banana leaves to use as plates, which is very environmentally friendly of them. If you're craving different southeast asian cuisine (thai, malaysian, indonesian, etc) and you wan't to try everything, this is the place to go.
