The food was really great! Love the kare-kare and the non-alcoholic cocktail selection, especially the one with mint leaves. The ambiance had a different feel from its unique vintage designs of black and white throughout this house turned resto café.

The sweltering summer heat made us decide to try this chi chi restaurant just a block away from the busy tomas morato. the whole look of the restaurant was so modern in contrast to the black and white pictures of history as it unfolded during the lifetime of Carlos P. Romulo.

Similarly, the food is an array of old favorites made modern with some twists. the Tito Greg's kare kare (P395, good for 3 persons) was cooked to taste like it was cooked the old way. The chicken pork adobo (P290) was the way i liked it, without too much oil and sauce on the side. the pork had too much fat part though. i also tried the winged beans cooked in coconut juice (P160) which was a little bit salty. the cakes were not so great. i prefered the coolas a cucumber for dessert.

The dining experience was worth it.

I wanted to treat my Dad to a special dinner that I brought them to Romulo Cafe. Been here before for a birthday lunch of a friend. The whole family loved everything they served.

Special mention to Pansit Puti, Chicken Relleno and Tito Greg's Kare-Kare. But they can improve further their dessert menu.

But the food is only part of Romulo Cafe's Charm. The white and black decor, the quite elegance of the place as well as the efficient service of the staff.

For an intimate dinner or a family gathering, I highly recommend this place!

The look of the place is really good. I love the private room good for 20 pax (I think they call it the yellow room).

I love the kare kare!
