This is where the Filipino natives go to shop for everything...CHEAP! If you have never shopped in a super tight Filipino stalls area before, hold on! This is one adventure you might want or might not want to experience!

BOTTOM LINE: Is is worth visiting? Sure if you clearly understand that this is a super busy place and you must keep your valuables, wallet, purse, phones and camera's hidden away of they could easily walk away without you even knowing it. This is a cheap bargain hunters delight (think cheap stuff)...if you can handle the downsides.

If you are looking for fake Rolex watches and name brand sunglasses, you will find them (pretty junky though). The smells of the market of fresh eggs, fish, vegetables, etc. is not for the faint of heart. Just seeing all the action of locals buying stuff is worth the trip here felt. Try to go as a group for better security (DAY TIME ONLY).

WORD OF WARNING: You have seen warnings on other reviews, but I'll back them up. Keep anything you don't want to walk away, i.e. money of any kind, jewelry, good watches, good sunglasses, cameras, cellphones, etc. out of site! Keep your backpack in front of you and hands wrapped around it. I DID NOT see anyone get ripped off but I was warned by locals not to risk bringing anything your can't afford to loose. You can find some great deals BUT be sure to haggle and haggle for the best deal.

Because these guys know that you are a foreigner, they will typically start off several times higher than where they would start off with a local. Just decide in advance where you want by max for price to be then start off at 10-20% of what they tell you. Be prepared to "walk away" from the deal. You never know what they will take until you ask. Remember, don't fall in love over it unless you really, really want it. Look elsewhere. There are tons of shops here and you just might snag a bargain you can brag about back home!

P.S. Prying eyes are everywhere. Once you make a deal, count your money INSIDE you bag. You do not want anyone to see all those bills you are carrying inside your wallet. Only take out what is require. Be safe and have fun!

So, this has been my place to go for Christmas decorations.....just about anything else you would want. It has both retail and wholesale markets (multiple buildings) as well as street vendors. I have gone alone and with others, mostly have to keep a watch on your belongings as is crowded and pick pockets work the market.

Yes, prices were cheap, but the long wait to serve you. We almost waited half a day, for them to invoice our needs. Streets were dirty. I thought, it improved already.
