I always believe there is still much hope to save and restore the pasig river. I hope we do our own little share of the burden.

“The most dangerous area in Manila”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2012

Pasig river is a dead river, nothing can live in it. The water is very polluted from human and industrial waste. I lived in a subdivision near to river, and the locals say, that if you drop into the water, you are as good as dead. The water is brown and smelly.

“Give the River a Chance”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2012

Give the ferry a try. The ride may not be as romantic but you'll catch genuine Manila scenes along the ride. From one ferry station to the other, they tell a story of their own.

Immense improvement since the 90s but still a way to go. The views (and passages) from the riverside can be more appreciated if slums are eradicated. Congested dwelling areas cleared. This river has more value than how it is being treated by local units and factories around it.
