Owner description: Intramuros, "The Walled City," is the oldest district in Manila. This is what remains of the fortified city, which was the seat of power during Spanish Colonial times (1521-1898).

I recently visited Manila in particular in the Intramuros and Luneta Park. I am disappointed to see the dirty streets of Manila. UNORGANIZED tourists site and no maps available. Intramuros although was preserved there are not attractive. What's the Mayor of Manila doing? Lots of garbage, people taking advantage from tourists. I took Kalesa with my Canadian friend and asked how much for a tour. 300 pesos for 30 mins. When the tour completed, the guy said 300 per person plus additional 30 mins because we were stucked from traffic for 30 mins so we paid 1200 pesos. This Kalesa should be controlled and run by city government. Anyways, Manila is not tourist friendly. Dirty city and unorganized and lots of homeless people. What's the government doing?

This place is full of history and it has been preserved by the government. Took a bike ride but be careful of some of the operators who are out to con you. Other than that it is a really nice, scenic place.

This place doesn't lack in history. Good for a walking tour. Nice to have a calesa ride with a horse in going around the attraction as an option . Be careful of beggars who seem to be in some sort of organized crime.
