Executive Hotel Manila (formerly The Executive Plaza Hotel)
Ranked #26 of 110 Hotels in Manila
Reviewed February 5, 2013

Your impression about Manila will mostly depend on where you stay. If you are used to an organized city with clean streets and nice shopping malls, better spend more money and stay in Makati.

This hotel is quite average but you get what you paid for. The facility is a bit old but everything was working. It's close to Robinson Mall but hey there are malls everywhere in Manila.

The bed is comforting and the toilet is very clean.
The location to shopping mall is near and easy to find taxi and jeepneys around.
If you want to get a good rate, better book it online directly at their website. My room cost peso 2099.00 nett (superior)

during check-in they cant find my reservation, the lady at the desk said she will look for a room as they are fully booked and i arrived almost 9pm, after dinner i had room and asked for a one thiusand peso deposit.
paid nineteen hundred for the room as they have a special which is cheap, paid fifteen hundred at pension natividad for an ultra basic room with no TV.
the aircon worked very well, the room is very ckean, a big TV with a king size bed, asked for 2 single beds but not available,
the shower has great water pressure and lots of hot water, no tub and snall teeny soaps but next door is the hyatt, beside is a 24-hour convenience store, adjacent to robinson mall and a lot of money changers.
no breakfast included but the price is so cheap, earlier booked with palm plaza, a sister company and was quoted three thousand pesos, later had a promo of twenty six hundred with breakfast and a bottle of red wine, the breakfast is a set menu nothing to be amazed of and exhorbitant if you have to pay for it, having stayed there in the past. palm plaza though is efficient with handling reservations having stayed there at least 3 times.
executive plaza has one elevator so it gets crowded, its sister companies are beside each other, palm plaza and las palmas.

On most trips, I like to fly in an take a bus out of town. I have spent the night in The Executive Plaza Hotel. It is clean and nice. I use to get $60 US a room rate by going on line and booking it there. But you can deal with them directly. It is a big place with a good staff and acceptable food. I is a good location to what Manila has to offer so you can walk to malls or shops.

Room Tip: 714 was a nice sized room.

We booked a room without breakfast and we tried it anyway. Result was expensive food (compared to many places around), internet is only free for 30 minutes, you have to pay if you want more (even in the provinces this is free)

Overall the hotel is run down, many prostitutes, you can not stand for 1 minute outside and beggers, prostitutes are just waiting for you, (maybe you like this when your single)

As a couple would not stay here again and advise you to do the same as the price/ room quality does not match at all

Room Tip: As high as you can get, other wise you will here the traffic

I have stayed at the 'Ecutive Hotel' on 10 occasions and found the price to be reasonable.
The rooms were clean and tidy, serviced every day, no WIFI in the rooms, only in the hotel lobby but it will cost you, I believe 300 peso/day.
Good staff and helpful.
Easy walking distance to Robinson Shopping Mall, also taxi to Mall of Asia (MoA) is about 15 minutes and costs about 150 pesos.
If it floods in Manila, this hotel is OK being the hotel is elevated up by steps into the hotel.
Area is quite good and the Hyat Hotel is across the road. Watch out for beggers in the area, this you can't avoid in any areas in th PI.

Room Tip: Higher floors will cut out a lot of the traffic noise

+2000 pesos/ night so hard to find any better hotel in Mabini, it is still clean, safe and beds are fine, there is also a customer friendly priced minibar on the rooms. As a frequent customer i will always return back. Breakfast (American) is far too expensive!!!
