Everytime I travel to Manila, I always find time not to just visit but to hear mass in the Basilica Nazareno to thank the Poong Nazareno for my numerous wishes granted.

On that that, I was able to share a little to the "Yolanda survivors" for the 2nd collection made by the church.

Going to the church requires a little patience as one has to find his tough way through the crowded street from Carriedo LRT to the church. But you know what? I felt relaxed & happy mood after the mass. Salamat Poong Nazareno.

Really pretty church, even though theres muck everywhere once you step outside! We started by driving by but eventually got out and went for a walk around.

If you're into quirky souvenirs, there are plenty of vendors just outside the church

visit only if you are a friend of dirty places with lot's of beggars and hustlers. like so many other so called tourist attractions in the philippines it's run down and the area around the church is not safe for tourist.

if filipinos want to attract more tourist, the they have to do much much better.

Old church but it definitely need some restorations to see the old historical things. Compared to other religious historical places in the world it's not so special. But since Manila doesn't have so many attractions it's a place to visit.

Best to avoid going to this vicinity on a Friday is you do not want to be jostled by the crowd. There is almost no room to move, much less walk about.
