“Monumental Religious Solace”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 12, 2012

Considering Quiapo Church is in one of the busiest section of Manila, and it is the busiest when it comes to the devotees, the church remains well restored and maintained. It has preserved its' ambience of solemnity where churchgoers find solace and peace...

“very crowded place”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2012

the church is very crowded, people outside are selling different items for religious purposes and otherwise,
if you'll visit, just be careful of your valuables, this place is crawling with pickpockets and similar characters both inside and outside the church.

“worth the hassle”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 9, 2012

all the foreigners that i brought here had so much fun. you'll find the traditions of churchgoers (walking on knees going to the altar, kissing of the image, etc.) very unique. there are lots of fortunetellers in the area who can read your future for as low as 1.25USD. you can also pay women who can pray for you. lots of cheap mobile phones and accessories in the building nearby. people who make accessories source their materials from the stores in front of the church. the black nazarene is the main focus. only image of christ that is black. i'm a devotee too.
