Many important celebrations were done here. À beautiful church and one of the oldest in Manila. If you stayed in à hotel inside this area you can just stroll along the old road and discover the beauty of the old city and can access this beautiful church.

You only need to walk 2 block straight from the entrance of Intramuros to reach the Manila Cathedral. I haven't seen the interior yet since it has been under repairs for quite some time. But even from outside you will marvel at its wonderful architecture.

Manila Cathedral is one of the famous and oldest church in Manila. If your going to see the church you can access thru a Jeep which has a sign of Pier 15 from Santa Cruz church or Quiapo Church. The church is temporarily closed for renovation and if you would like to have a Weekday Masses it was temporarily moved to Arzobispo Chapel.

If you are planning on visiting this landmark, you may want to check first to see if it is open. It is under MAJOR reconstruction right now and you can't go in it. It is not an extremely impressive building on the outside, but then again, it is covered with scaffolding, metal fencing, etc. The exterior, at this point, I am sure does not reflect the interior of the church. There was no indication on the signs at the church when the restoration project would be completed.

Sadly the Cathedral was closed for renovations but the outside was amazing architecture - hopefully when I go back it will be all complete and I can see inside!
