Sadly the Cathedral was closed for renovations but the outside was amazing architecture - hopefully when I go back it will be all complete and I can see inside!

Yes, you definitely need to stop in and visit or attend mass at this church. Filipinos are very religious and the majority are catholic with beautiful churches decorated orantely and with such tremendous grandeur. Its definitely nothing you've seen in North America!

The Cathedral is closed but it does not reduce from its value and importance. It was built around 1570 so it is quite old (rebuilt after earthquake and ww2).

It has a very beautiful design and I hope I could see the inside. It is in front of fort-santiago and Rizal shrine (less than a minute from the fort Santiago gate) and at the boarder of Intramourus area of the city.
