“Another MUST SEE in Intramuros!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

This is another MUST SEE in Intramuros especially if you like antiques. This house gives you a glimpse of what it was like to live RICH in Old Manila in those days. Did you know that they had side by side toilets so that they could converse and (...) at the same time?

“Well maintained antique house...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2013

Casa Manila is worth a visit when you are touring the Intramuros area. The entrance ticket is very reasonable and you can walk around the house and enjoy the antique furnishings and architecture. The house is small so you can see it in half an hour or so.

“well preserved gem”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

We stumbled on this museum/house as we were looking for lunch!
It is well set out and gives a lovely idea of how the wealthier people lived. The guard was helpful and informative when we approached with a question.......maybe they should be a little more pro-active.

“Beautiful woodwork”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2013

across from the San Augustine church, this building houses a renovated house from an upper class family during the turn of the past century. You have access to the courtyard with a lovely fountain, and the grand stairs leading to the mezzanine with two bedrooms, an office and a foyer and the first story with the master bedroom, another bedroom, a living room, lounge, chapel and kitchen. The rooms are highly decorated with wood carvings and European art and decoration styles. Takes about 30 mins to see it, no photos inside.
