“Better if you go with a good guide”
Reviewed November 20, 2012

A very nice restoration of an Intramuros family home but I have to say its is a lot different from just going there on a field trip during my school days and going with a really good guide who has done the research and can really tell a good story. I have to suggest that you go here with Carlos Celdran, you can look him up on the internet, even if you have been there a hundred times nothing compares to what he offers.

“"Another Beautiful Museum"”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

This beautiful museum is located inside Intramuros. Casa Manila is one of the beautiful building in the Spanish colonial era. This place is the major tourist attractions in Manila, Philippines. The Casa Manila is rebuilt by the former first lady Imelda Marcos during the 1980's to help Filipinos appreciate their heritage and help the tourist to understand the history of the Spanish era itself.

When you enter this museum, the guard will informed you that you absolutely CAN NOT any picture in this museum. So put you camera inside your bag and lets yourself enjoy the beauty of the architecture and the story of The Casa Manila.

“Going back to the time of Spanish era”
Reviewed October 26, 2012

It is a tourist spot place where you can see the old structure during the Spanish times. You can see the old antique furniture, fountain and valuable classic vases, paintings and etc.

“Beautiful old house”
Reviewed October 22, 2012

The house is a typical Spanish-style house. It is well maintained and set up as a lovely museum. It is worth walking through if you're in the area.

“Nice informative Museum”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

This is where the top ranking officials in the early times live. How the old fashioned fan was manipulated when family dinner comes to give cooler air to these prominent people.

I like the idea of preserving this historical place for the young kids to understand the difference of what was before and now.
