Nice to visit and see the center of worship in the olden days of Manila. Always crowded and noisy but the design and ambience of the place reminds you of how rich this district is in the old days.

“Beautiful”

We took a calesa (horse-drawn carriage) from Intramuros to Binondo and stopped at this church. Very beautiful and worth a visit.

“Great church”
Reviewed January 5, 2014

We went on Xmas day and really enjoyed the way the church was laid out. Lots of vendors just outside selling you cheap stuff and on the inside, the entire church is really really quiet and pleasing.

Even if you don't go to Binondo, a trip to the church is worth it. It's barely 5 minutes walk from the LRT station so a def must do!

“Binondo Church under attack”
Reviewed September 12, 2013

Binondo church is a Philippine landmark that is located within China Town Manila an area filled with historical and old buildings. The church building was renovated and fixed but the original bricks surrounding the outer part of the church were still there. Inside the church were big paintings and a magnificent altar. Electric fans were installed at every church post but was not sufficient to cool off air when the church goers came.

Binondo church is an institution full of historical values. The effort to preserve the church was commendable.

However, the buildings surrounding the church made the view a little bit awkward because there were towering buildings all over. Taking memorable pictures is good only at a close range because taking picture of the whole building would be challenging because of the big building eyesores.

“Spain in the heart if chinatown”
Reviewed July 16, 2013 via mobile

Right at the center of chinatown, this small structure of a church has stood the test of time. This old stone and brick building stands right at the heart of binondo. Surrounded by various commercial establishments, you wont miss this place. It sits beside the binondo firestation where you'll find purple painted firetrucks. The church in itself is old but had been well maintained. Clean and solemn, one will always feel at peace once inside. Flocked by residents during mass, you will see people stand even outside as the place is crowded with patrons.
