“no hot chocolate in the breakfast buffet”
Reviewed December 20, 2012 via mobile

it has an imposing entrance and the foliage at the restaurant is impressive but the bed is hard, for a 5 star hotel the tub is small and the bathroom amenities are average, the airconditioning is very good, had a room with manila bay as a side view, was not impressed with the complimentary breakfast buffet, the bulk of their business must be japanese, great water pressure and lots of hot water.

We chose this hotel over Hyatt and Pan Pacific (which we really love!) for a weekend stay on November 30- December 2 as a treat for my 3 year old boy whom we see every weekend. We always choose hotels with great pool, great service and even delectable food! We were amazed the grand lobby was adorned with a giant christmas tree. The front desk a bit slow and took us almost 10mins standing, waiting for them to check our names which they should have seen instantly since the reservation was made 3 weeks ago. But KELLY, the gracious front desk officer took over and told us that we've been upgraded to the VIP SUITE! And boy, it was really meant for VIP's with some flaws. Huge room with a separate receiving area, a kitchen, a huge dinner table (rusty), queen size bed with no headboard(sigh) and bathroom with separate shower (but no tub...disappointing!) and we have to contend with a small closet. The jacuzzi on the pool area needs to be cleaned and scrubbed! Good thing, we love the pool and the very helpful staff. This hotel is underrated and a little improvement needs to be done, immediately, to keep up with other best hotels in the Metro. The most amazing thing about this hotel(aside from the very helpful guards and charming housekeepers) is the breakfast buffet served at the magnificent CORNICHE restaurant. EXCELLENT!

Room Tip: I always say this..if its about pampering yourself, booked an executive suite or the Diamond club ro...

stayed here last dec 8 to dec 11. of 2012. I reserved 2 rooms, a month before this dates. on dec 8, we came for late check-in (i noted this in my reservation details), i was advised by the front desk staff Mr. Lenmer that there is no available rooms for us. He told me that even with reservations it is still depends on the availability of the rooms. (wait?? what the purpose of reserving rooms?) we need to wait for 45 minutes or more till the rooms will be ready.(actually it took 90 minutes!!) He asked me full payment 46k as check-in payment. it was noted in the reservation details that i can do full settlement upon check out. so to make our check in smooth, i have given more than what i should pay, i gave 14k initially and an additional of 32k + almost 5k as reservation i made in the internet(direct with hotels) so my total credit was more or less 50k. on dec 10 at 11pm, i advised the front desk for the bills that i need to settle in the morning. at 12mn the front desk gave me a copy revealing that i have given only 4k + 32k. THE BIG QUESTION IS WHERE DID THE 10K AND THE RESERVATION FEE WENT?? because my complain reach their manager, i was able to refund the excess of 14k, the front desk staff cannot fix such problems.to make the story short, there is inconsistency in this hotel. moreover the staff are not welcoming. customer service is very poor. no wifi, no readily available router if you request one. they charge 25 pesos per local calls. a rough check-in, a rough stay and a rough check-out. what a nice hotel! will never visit this place again!!!

Stayed here because the location is good; close to Robinson's and not too far from the airport, located in an interesting part of town. I booked a standard room which upon arrival I was told had wired internet only which would be hopeless for me as an iPhone user. I was upgraded to a suite because there were no standard rooms available(?) and there was wifi there thankfully. The room was beautiful and the view was great. The pool area was nice although the water was pretty cool (shaded most of the day) and some feature lighting at night would make it really attractive. We tried the dinner buffet (2000p per person) and the choices, food and desert was all amazing, would highly recommend it. Didn't try the breakfast out however (1050p per person). The only letdown was the room environment; the room was exceptionally cold and we ended up turning off the air-con completely although the room was still a bit too cold. I have never been fussy with my pillows however the 2 types provided were both very thick, and we ended up putting the sofa cushions into the pillow cases and using those. Also there were gaps at both ends of the curtains and in the middle of the track which let a lot of light in in the AM, although I was able to configure the excess pillows against the curtain/wall in such a manner that the curtain gap was substantially reduced. Overall very happy, although next time staying in that area I'd probably stay at the Hyatt or Pan Pacific which looked great too (may be more expensive). Note I booked/paid for a standard room (found the cheapest price on Agoda at $130/night) but was upgraded to a room on the 23F, so the standard room may be older than the one I stayed in, see pic attached!

Room Tip: I requested a room overlooking Manila Bay, I did get one, but not far enough around to see the sunse...

We got a suite before we flew back to Europe. There was a panoramic view of Roxas boulevard from our glass window. Det var fantastisk utsikt! We had to be at the airport at 4am so this was a good hotel choice. They have a very big bed, nice and comfortable. nice bathroom and another one for your guest in case you have one. We requested something from the housekeeping department and they responded right away. Good service!
They also have a nice Japanese restaurant that you might want to try. It makes you feel like you're in Japan. Great ambience!

Room Tip: the higher floor, the better. If you are in anyway not satisfied or you may need something, just ca...

We stayed here for one night and totally enjoyed the experience. The buffet luncheon was way more than we expected with a desert bar to die for!!!!! The beds were so comfortable and rooms immaculate. We were lucky enough to have a room facing the street and the Bay so the view was amazing, especially at sunset. We also went to the Sky lounge whilst there and had a fantastic night with "Soul Republic". Breakfast the next morning was also buffet but enough to fill even the fussiest eater! Staff at the pool were also so friendly...I really cant fault our stay there. Was one night we will never forget!

Room Tip: ask for a room facing the Bay if possible.
