One thing I want to be able to do is get a hot bath after a whole day of walking, site seeing etc. So my room not having a bath tub is just a downer.
Other than the hotel was well maintained, friendly staff typical of a 5-star hotel. Room came with breakfast at the Spiral (was actually looking forward for it, with all the rave reviews that I've read), which in my opinion is nothing special. In short, its overrated. Food selection was good, you have filipino, some asian as well as continental choices. Cheese room was ok, unique, but just ok.
We took the cab for the most parts, since its not a common route for public transportation, some might like it that way, some don't. Never had a problem with it. To each his own.
It's like 5 minutes or less cab ride to Mall of Asia, which has a TON of shops and places to eat. If you are into early morning runs, this is perfect place for you. Really close to Manila Bay (as long as you don't mind the stench, not overpowering, but not pleasant either), plus CCP complex seems to attract a lot of joggers.
Close to CCP, PICC which features some shows. CCP was showing "Wicked" while I was there. Across from CCP, there's a shopping center which has some food selection including Jollibee.
Then there's StarCity, which is an amusement park.
All in all, stay was nice, very relaxing.
