One great staycation for my family. We loved our room but would have been better if we got one with a bay view. Hotel has great activities for kids, even an outdoor night movie setup. Loved the breakfast buffet :)

To go to Sofitel, aside from your own car and taxi, I took the LRT instead, because the traffic was so heavy, it was eve of Chinese New Year which is the day and place I want to spend my vacation. At Vito Cruz station, there are orange multi cab waiting there near Rizal Sports Complex, it'll take you two mins by foot. Then the multi cab will drop you in front of Sofitel as well, fare is 8 Php. My stay in the hotel was so exciting. There were fireworks and cultural dance show that night. They also have Vietura, where I had my resolift. View from my room was nice as well. You can see all the fireworks from different areas. I went for a swim early in the morning, the pool was cold though. I went for a small tour in the nearby Harbour Square. The scenic view was captivating. There are buffet in the manila bay cruise, it's nice to see the sunset while having the buffet there. Thereafter you can go to Star City, it's just minutes away from Sofitel, take the multi cab again to go there. Over-all, my simple celebration of Chinese New Year at Sofitel was very good. I'll definitely be going back and try the Spiral next. Other concerns well: room service was prompt and accurate. I didn't have a problem with the bed, I had a good sleep. They have complimentary water, coffee, tea and apples in the room. The rest cost a minimum of 180Php for nuts and chocolates, and around 300 to 500Php for the other dinks in the room. Breakfast meals cost 700 to 1600Php. Spa, massage therapy, reflexology cost 3000-5000. Be a member of Accor Plus Advantage and get great discounts. Give my name as reference...Have a great staycation as well. -Michelle Esteban

My family (11 in all, my husband and I, our children and their spouses, and our 4 grandchildren ages 6-8) stayed here for a few nights the first week of January. We were visiting from the U.S. and had been to two other places but wanted to stay here since we have really fun memories of staying at this hotel when it was still the Westin Philippine Plaza. We are so happy we decided to spend some of our time here! The grounds are as beautiful as ever, and our grandchildren loved the pool (although the water was cold) and the space to run around in. The lifeguard was very friendly too. We spent a lot of time just enjoying the outdoor areas and hosted visits by friends. It was easy to order food and drinks and there was plenty of space for everyone. The staff was always helpful in putting tables together for us to make room for everybody.

The breakfast buffet was awesome! The variety of food to choose from and the quality was superb. We had never been to a place that had a room dedicated just for different kinds of cheese!

I have to make sure I mention how helpful the front desk person was when we checked in. It got a little bit complicated because of the extra bed arrangements for the children, but Jen (I don't remember her last name) spent the extra time and put a lot of effort in making sure we were happy with the arrangements. She even gave us rooms that faced the bay and the swimming pool. Thank you, Jen!

We would definitely stay here again when we come back.

bit dirty... like the chair has some kind of table scraps.... room smells like old or something hard to describe.... i asked to have our room spar with lysol or any air freshener.... but sadly it was attended like after an hour.... its odd bec. the hallway smells soooo good. anyway, pool is nice we had fun though its cold.... then the night come and the receptionist told me that they have a surprise for my son's birthday at 6pm. i thought it would be a good surprise.but sadly it was 630pm and still no surprise.... so i called up the reception and ask about the surprise they told me... and the reception told me they will give a cake for my son.... so after 30mins. a guy went up and gave the cake, though he sings the birthday song wen i started singing.
breakfast buffet was awesome as expected. maybe will come... but i hope they can maintain the room to be clean always....
