Easter there was madness. Whole hotel was fully booked with family and kids. Meant screaming kids in the pool, running around in the restaurants, in the hallways and even in the millenium lounge. Reception sold us and upgrade to a "much better room and access to Millenium Lounge".on 10th floor. Turned out it was packed with kids, parents and their nanny's as well. Went there for an afternoon cocktail, and ended up being placed in the meeting room in two office chairs... The lounge is suposed to be exclusive and a 5 star hotel worthy, but was more a kindergarden for spoiled, ubehaved kids.We ended up not using the Millenium Lounge because it was packed with people all the time.
Pool was invaded by kids as well and absolutely no free chairs either. We had planed to spent a romantic, quiet couple of days at a 5 star hotel, but got a stressed and very bad ending on our holidays - not an experience worthy of Sofitel standards.
Hotel itself is situated far from everything, so you have to take a taxi to go anywhere interesting.
