For those looking for hotels at USD $30-40 per night range, I'll greatly recommend this hotel. I've read through reviews on TripAdvisor and Agoda, and found this hotel to be among the best of its range.

This hotel works on a 'no-frills' concept, meaning that you get fantastically low rates when you book through their website online. However, their low rates does not include air-conditioning, WiFi, TV, and towel, which are subject to add-on prices.
However, if you book through websites such as Agoda, these services are always included in Agoda's promotional rate.

As a budget, no-frills hotel, you are not expected to find a swimming pool, a spa, or any luxuries of other hotels. However, there is a 7-Eleven outlet that sells everything from snacks to fast food-style fried chicken. There is also an Irish pub with promotional breakfast rates for hotel guests.

Something that worth mentioning about this hotel is the hotel's cleanliness and quality service. The hotel (as well as other hotels of the Tune chain) is the cleanest of its price range, and rooms are cleaned on a daily basis. The staff are friendly and helpful, and have good knowledge of most of the tourists attractions of the region.

If you plan to have a tour, there is a Europcar desk near the entrance of the hotel that provides car-hire service which also includes a driver-cum-tour guide, at competitive rates. In my opinion, the service provided by the Europcar is quite good.

Tune Hotels is a budget hotel chain owned by a Malaysian-based company that also owns AirAsia, one of the finest and largest budget airlines in the region. Tune operates quite a number of hotels in the Philippines, with hotels in Makati City, Quezon City, Clark, and Cebu.

A note about the location:
The hotel is situated at Mabini Street, and is within walking distance of the Manila Bay. Robinsons Gallery Manila, a fairly large shopping mall in Ermita area, is also within walking distance of the hotel.

There are two LRT stations within the vicinity of the hotel- Pedro Gil station and Quirino station, both stations about a kilometre's walk from the hotel. Taxi can be hailed easily from the hotel entrance. However, you are advised to ask a porter or a security guard posted on the hotel for assistance on hailing a taxi.

Please be reminded that the hotel is situated right in the middle of Manila's red-light district, Ermita. During nights it is normal for you to be approached by pimps and explicitly-dressed females while walking back to the hotel in night. However, be rest assured that these people are not allowed anywhere close to the hotel. For safety and security reasons, please avoid walking alone in nights, especially Westerners and East Asians, who stands out more among the local population.

Room Tip: Pick a twin room for more space to put your luggage, as the hotel rooms are quite cramped.

So many giving great reviews on this Tune hotel but I got to say that for me it is not.

Talking about price, you can get a better hotel at this price. The price changes with time and goes up rapidly. Only the promotion price is cheap. The normal price is considered expensive for this kind of quality.

Location - This is well located for night life. Maybe this is a good reason why travellers like here. You can just get some drinks anywhere along the road here, even just opposite the hotel. And you can also grab a girl and bring her up.

Hotel comfort - Hotel is still new. Clean, tidy. Check is staffs are friendly and helpful. Facilities are all good provided you pay extra. If you don't pay, you get nothing, not even a towel. Single bed is very small, smaller than normal single bed.

I stayed for 2 nights and am a repeat guest. Everything they advertise they executed. Customers who do not read the terms and conditions of the hotel may end up with issues. As in any budget offering first understand the fine print before signing on.

The room was very clean, the air conditioning was cold, the hotel was safe. The hotel staff was courteous and informative. I received the services I paid for, nothing more, nothing less. My expectations were met.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the higher floors to minimize the noise from the traffic and KTV bars. Know the area and the type of clientele that patronize this location.

Its overall a good hotel but the room is small, more of what you pay for.

The bed is fine, and the water pressure on the shower is really strong. Location is great and it has a in room safe, tv is good it has alot of channels.

Staff are friendly and nice. The only thing is that you have to pay for everything, I mean everything that you would want to have like toiletries, towels etc. That's the catch not that low price they advertise.

Although overall I enjoyed my stay and I recommend it!

Ive stayed here once before a while ago ans thought id give it another try as it was ok last time. This time I was happily impressed. Check in was done very quickly and I was in my clean room in no time. Room includes a safe which is very convenient. The air con was nice and cool and there are loads of chanels on the wide screen TV. The rooms are not very big and there are no cupboards etc so you kinda have to live out lf your suit case altbough there is a rack you can hang some clothes from. The rooms are quiet and serviced daily. If you opt for breakfast it is served at Mallones Restaurant at the front of the hotel and is very tasty with a range of set menus to choose from, there is also a 7/11 just inside the hotel entrance. The rooms dont include bar fridges or any cutlery, glasses etc but the shower is pretty much the best as you will get anywhere.
Close to the hotel there is Manila Bay, Rizal Park, Intramurous and Robinsons Mall.
Be aware, there is a lot of poverty In this neighborhood and you will likely be asked for money often and by very young children. I always carry coins but be aware if you give to one then you will probably have more lined up. Its up to you but 10 -20 php is enough so tbey can get some rice and remember you probably arent the only donor that day.
