“Clean hotel, rough neighborhood”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 5, 2014

We booked the hotel because it was cheap and clean; check and check. But found out it's a shoebox and lacked certain basics like a phone in the room, door for the shower, and a closet. We could live with that because the bed was nice, the AC works fine and walls and furnishings in good order but the neighborhood is sort of run down. In fairness, the neighborhood is par for the course in Manila...

I was there in the summer of last year.... i put my wallet in my side pocket and left the hotel ,, ate and was going to the money changer when I felt into my pocket and nothing was there... i freaked out ,, my wallet had my credit card, and 200 dollars. so i rushed back , checked my room and no luck so I asked the front desk staff what I should do such as report it to the police and cancel my credit card....

But as I was talking to the staff,, the security guard by the front entrance said something and asked if this was the wallet i lost ... He had seen it laying right by his feet against the door... Thats was gud luck and a kind and alert security guard who spared me from losing 200 dollars and having to try to report a stolen card in another country.....

Thank you so much to all the staff at Tune...

Stayed in the Tune Ermita again after almost 2 years for 2 nights and the experience was exactly the same as before, brilliant. The hotel delivers what it promises, a great bed and an excellent shower. For a value/budget hotel, the Wifi connection was super. Easy to find to, all taxi drivers know the hotel. 7-11 on the ground floor, plus Molly Malones which serves all three meals. Portion sizes are huge, so order accordingly, try the lamb stew for lunch or dinner, excellent.

While some of our cab drivers had a little trouble finding the hotel, that was the extent of our problem. The room was a little on the small size for one containing a queen bed, but usable for two people. Within Walking distance from Robinson's Mall and Taft Avenue for easy commuting.

It's small, clean and CHEAP. Also has working wifi.
That's all you need here, cause honestly you didn't come here to sit in hotel room... A good starting point for adventures in Manila and it's surroundings.

Good cheap room but very small. Location is a little far away from the good nightlife and there is a very busy road outside which is hard to negotiate. Paths are small and crowded. Nice Irish bar attached to the hotel.

Stayed for a night last 26th December. The room though small is relatively clean as well as the bathroom. Walking distance from major shopping mall. Do not have their own restaurant but you can get a discount at another restauarant just outside the building if you are staying at the hotel.
