Brand Spanking New Hotel in Historic Intramurors, the heart of Manila that was totally destroyed in the last siege of WWII. The hotel is new and clean and the staff are lovely and recent graduates of the Hospitality program at the nearby college. Great food, superior customer service, nice views over the old town, harbor, or city center. Ask for directions to Barbara's restaurant, and the courtyard cafe and craft/antique market just down Victoria Street. The highlight is the San Ignacio Fort and museum, and going for drinks at the Manila Hotel - Gen. Douglas MacArthur's home during the war. Terrific for strolling on Sunday.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view :)

The cleanliness and design of the room made up for its relatively small size. Didn't realize the room didn't have any window until the following morning, when I started to wonder why it was still dark. Improving the variety of food for breakfast would be nice ...

Dear sir,

Thank you very much for sharing your good comments on Trip Advisor. Such is a joy to our team. We regret that you were not given a room with a view. Given another chance though, we will strive to make it up with you next time. Unfortunately, we do have a couple of rooms without a view and we only offer those when all the other rooms are taken given the hotel's limited room inventory of 57 rooms. We are happy to note that you still had a wonderful experience. Comments on breakfast variety is well noted.
Thank you so much for choosing The Bayleaf!
Warm regards,
The Bayleaf team

Hotel staff was very helpful, going above and beyond to resolve my booking issue. Hotel staff also made sure I had no issues with my taxi ride from here to my next destination.

I had a room that was light green in color. Bathroom was sufficient. Bed was comfortable and
AC worked well. Rooftop area was nice for pictures. Breakfast buffet was good.

The view of one of the golf course greens, and the fort wall and cannons, was nice. Lots of history to learn with in just a few steps.

Area around the hotel was quiet (few taxis dropping/picking up people). Seems that no jeepneys/motor trikes are in Intramuros fort walls. Pedal trikes are around and easy/cheap to get a ride with. There were many students walking around outside. There is a couple places to eat just outside the hotel, though many more choices by taking a pedal trike or walking to the mall just outside of intramuros fort walls.

Closest ATM was in intramuros, but was out of service. The mall has a few ATM machines.

This hotel is one of those great finds (higher quality at a smaller price) if you want to be
around the intramuros area. I recommend staying here for a taste of the local culture and history.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is a darker color, or a lighter color (depending on your mood).

The hotel, grounds, people, view are fabulous here. The food is great but the service is a hit or miss. But they have the greatest potential to be one of the best in the country. We all enjoyed watching the the Manila and Makati skyline at the roofdeck while celebrating my bestpal's birthday.

Every staff in this hotel is nice especially jenny bee with her wonderful smile as she accommodate us in our room. My family avail the buffet breakfast and the food is splendid! the roof top restaurant has a nice view as well of the manila. i would definitely come back to this hotel. - anonymous girl.

We spent some nights in The Bayleaf whilst exploring Manila.

The staff is super friendly and we got a very warm welcome! They will always give you a smile and help wherever they can which gives you a comfy feeling,

The rooms are stylish, modern, and spacious.

The roof terasse as well as its bar are just great to have a drink in the evening and enjoy a cool view of Manila's skyline.

The location is great to explore the old part of Manila (Intramouros) but also to catch a train to reach other destinations (eg Chinese cemetery). Other sights such as CCP are close as well.
