Ramada Manila Central

Its the Yultide Season and everyone heads to Divisoria for great bargains. I am no exemption. Though the thought of the heat and the wave of people really threatened my nerves. Then I chanced upon a promo from Ramada manila central...i figured, we'll check in at 2pm, hit Juan Luna and 168 Mall at sundown till we get tired then do a 2nd hit early the next morning. A perfectly drawn out plan.

Ramada Manila Central is conveniently located beside the Binondo Church, Ongpin corner Quintin Paredes Streets. Calling for reservation was a breeze. We checked in at around 3:30 pm. The front desk officers on duty were very attentive, we were given welcome drinks right away and were checked in in less than 20 minutes. We appreciated the bell boy who carried our luggage to the room who described the amenities including the room view. We just took a quick nap then off to Divisoria we went. Told my husband we'll eat at any authentic Chinese restaurants later, but we have to drop off our wares at the room first. We were immediately met at the door, our packages were taken off our shoulders and were gently carried to the room. While sorting, I saw the menu and read it to my hubby...thought the menu was a short list, it featured nice sounding food that made us decide to eat in the room. The price was also very reasonable. I didn't expect too much thinking we can still go out later if we're not satisfied. We ordered Malaysian Fish Curry, Fried Sole on Pasta and shrimp noodles....and boy...they were all good.

I never got to appreciate the hotel''s ambiance until breakfast the next morning. The lobby and the winding staircase looked wonderful. Also the bar. The Newsroom cafe is a quaint place. The buffet spread was nice, and fairly complete. Loaded up for energy and we were out to Divisoria again.

Just as I planned, this Divisoria trip was a success....we avoided the heat, we ate good food, got well rested, got great bargains from Chinese stall owners who gave in to our haggling because its almost closing time and also to our morning haggling as buena mano...

Ramada Manila Central staff were very courteous, attentive and friendly, service was prompt and I already told all my friends about the experience. I will definitely go back there.

PS...to the management, please change the shift of the that girl at the reception area during our check out ( we checked out 12noon nov. 24-check who was on duty, she had no name plate on). She cannot handle the pressure of bulk check outs and easily get rattled. But the rest of the staff there...Kudos to you!!!

Room Tip: The room we got (room 707) had the view of the Binondo Church and the streets leading to Divisoria s...

This hotel was amazing! Very clean, very modern, very friendly staff.

We arrived back into Manila after a long delay in Caticlan and just wanted to get back to the hotel. Sadly the driver was unsure of the location of Ramada ... he did eventually figure it out!

Right from the moment we stepped foot in the magnificent lobby, we were greeted by the super friendly front desk staff. They upgraded us to an Executive suite which was a pleasant surprise. The porter had to show us how to use the elevator ... and after he dropped off our luggage, he seemed rather surprised at the tip (it's like he wasn't used to receiving a tip.)

The room was great ... nice, big king sized bed, flat screen 32" wall mounted tv, free wifi, internet connection, safe, robe, slippers, a very modern bathroom ... very comfy for a 3 night stay! Complimentary breakfast was also included ... again a nice touch. Free shuttle service to Mall of Asia (and he would have picked us up too had we asked). Walking distance to Jolibee (mmm...), Red Ribbon (very mmmm...) and various other eateries.

The only drawbacks of the Ramada Manila Central are the following:
1. no swimming pool ... would have been great to take a dip after a hot, sticky afternoon of wandering about.
2. better variety of breakfast options.

Would we stay here again? Definitely!

We were very happy with our stay at the Ramada. The rooms were large and very comfortable and nicely furnished. The breakfast was also good. The best part was the staff who were always very helpful and courteous. The Chinatown shopping malls were fun and just a few minutes walk from the Hotel.Having said that I did find the number of security guards in the area a little unnerving and the bins where you :deposit your guns outside the banks a little scary...... but if that's what Manila is like then I guess I would rather have the extra security.

I stood at ramada 3.11.-6.11.12
The room smokers room was not available despite reservation so after clarifying with the management. I was allowed to smoke in the room. The was very nice with a spacious bathroom (separate shower and bathtub with awindow to the bedroom that could be closed with blinds).
The room was kn a higher floor facing the top of a church in front of the hotel.

The staff was attentive and friendly and the room was exccellent value for money with a spacious room, nice tv set and a spacious safe.

Security: You can access only your own floor and have to use the fr badge in the elevator.
Security cams on the floors.

Small but nice breakfast buffet with chinese dumplings (makes a reference to its location just at the entrance to chinatown).

Would stay here again. Nice staff - including a cute reception lady with braces :D

We stay for 4days & 3 nights overall everything was great except the wifi are not that stable. Wifi are only allow to access in the lobby, it will be great if the room can access to wifi as well coz not every traveler will bring laptop travel around. Rooms & cleanliness. but upon check in there's some problem as we are couples & i reserve a king bedded but was given a twin. Called reception & informed him that we need a king bed they make us wait & rectify within 10 mins. Friendly staff & walking distance to 168 mall & 999 mall. Lots of Chinese restaurant & 1 supermarket near by. Will stay there again!

Though this Hotel is located in a very busy and narrow Road, near the world famous Binando Church,Once you enter ,you feel the difference.
Courteous Staff serve with smile.Great ambience and spacious rooms, well furnished.
Good Restaurant offering a special care for vegetarians also.
It will not be complete if I do not mention about their care for the security of the guests.
I stayed there for 2 nights and really love to stay at this place whenever I am in Manila.

Room Tip: Almost 90% of the rooms are Non smoking rooms.

Got to stay only 1 night in this hotel , spending a weekend with my family .. considering it is a 3-4 star boutique hotel , it somehow made an impression for me since it provided good value for money .. lobby was quite small ( expected for a boutique type property ) .. check in took some time because i'm dealing with a tour group from the chinese mainland , got a welcome drink while waiting , and good for me, i got an upgrade to a junior suite (thank you ), which was a little spacious , and provided an extra bed for my daughter (we paid an extra for the bed , since it includes toiletries, and a breakfast benefit )...the front desk staff are not only attractive and has good personality , they can understand and speak the mandarin language , which is important since this hotel claims to cater specifically to chinese visitors ... the suite where i stayed was nice and clean , complete with a minibar , and 2 huge flat screen tv's which has many channel selection (should be noted that it has many chinese oriented channels ) .. it should be noted however that the aircon ventilation was different from each other, one has really cold circulation while the other is not, so i end up keeping the door open for both rooms for better cool air distribution.the king/queen sized bed is actually 2 small single beds put together .. and the mattress is quite hard, not comfortable with sleeping . the staff in the ground floor do multi tasking roles , upon check in the security in the main door ended up bringing luggage to our room , and the next thing , the reception staff would end up helping control traffic for us upon check out ( and they seem comfortable with it ).. buffet breakfast selection was rather adequate, but taste just average , anyway i shouldn't expect much considering what i was paying .. and finally the location, just in front of the Binondo church , being literally in chinatown , which has many shops and restaurants ... and being a 5-10 minute walk to newly established and upscale 'lucky chinatown mall' and another 5 minute walk would lead to budget items friendly '168 mall' ...would highly recommend for those staying in this vicinity ...

Room Tip: request for rooms facing the binondo church and overlooking the mall , corner rooms also good
