My sister and I were delightfully surprised to find this was a sit-down buffet so none of the jostling to get to the food nor the walking to and from the buffet table. This was definitely relaxed dining with very good service and attentive staff. The hargaw, siomai, xiaolongbao and barbecue pork belly deserve special mention but all the dim sum were delicious and value for money.

Li Li at Hyatt Hotel in Manila offers a dimsum buffet lunch that is quite reasonably priced especially if you have a healthy appetite. The offerings were tasty and scrumptious. Guests will be given a checklist of the day's dimsum menu, and you have to tick the items you want and they will bring it to you. Some of my favorites are the siomai, hakaw, char siew, and lechon macau. The menu is not the same every day so you may encounter new items on your next visit. Do not order the fried rice because it is only average and takes up valuable stomach space. For dessert, the masachi is good but not the malay cake.

The ambience at Li Li deserves mention. The interiors are lavish and elegant, and the tables are not closely packed thereby allowing diners some privacy. They also have a private function room for small groups. The porcelain is of good quality, as are the linen and silverware. The decadent atmosphere as well as the delicious food are worth the price.

My last review praised the quality of the food, which I still uphold; however, since then, the quality of the food and the service has gone down. Unlike the last time, the restaurant was virtually empty during what should have been a busy lunch hour. My colleague and I sat around for over a half hour waiting for our food, which, when it arrived, was totally disappointing. I couldn't believe how the quality has suffered in such a short time. It only took 6 months for this decline, and I'm really shocked by it. There are much better places in Manila for dim sum lunches such as the Jade Garden in Greenhills with faster service and much better quality food among others. Don't waste your time or money on this place.
